so even getting them to simply block in the air is good enough for a grab attempt?
Pretty much. Setups are just ways you know you can get them to block and you know ways to follow up, but if you can come up with some stuff on the fly, go for it.

I can’t get the dash > s.s relaunch of his skrull smash bnb to connect at all. Any tips?
Start dashing as soon as his feet touch the ground and mash S.
Is the s.s wiffing? Maybe doing it too late…?
- After the Air Down Heavy hits the opponent there’s slight recovery where Skrull bounces back on his feet and then you’re able to dash and do S. If your S is whiffing you’re taking slightly too long pressing S. If that’s the case think of dash into S as one fluid motion with not much pause in between the two. *
You could try dashing another way.
If you’re using F, F, try A+B (or B+C). If you’re doing two attack inputs, try it the other way.
There doesn’t seem to be too many for skrull at the moment but there was a stream at Marvel Madness from Calgary that had some pretty decent Skrull players from Canada. I have a feeling that they will eventually show up at some point. In fact the stream had some pretty good variety of characters rather that Sentinel all the time. There were Chris, Spencer, I saw a Viewtiful Joe there as well. There were many teams that had Tronne and Haggar for there assist but there was also some pretty good play using said characters.
I gotta say Skrull with a low assist is sick. I personally go with X-23 and the 700k damage off what is basically an unblockable is disgusting.
Why don’t more people use this guy?
Cause its still early, people are still finding their characters and stuff. There are at least 10 good-great characters that no one picks, skrull, viper, almost all the keep away characters, iron man and spiderman to name a few. Give it time more people will catch on.

You can set it up with an air combo, j. D+C, then dash A to the plink.
Skrull’s just not big in the US yet. He won a tournament in the UK (check the vids) and from what I hear he’s big in Canada. Noone big has picked him up yet so I guess people just don’t want to give him a shot yet.
How do you deal with or counter Super Skrull jumping Stone Smite
I fought a player who just did jumping Stone Smite and i was playing as Zero. I just jumped after him and hit him but it was somewhat annoying he constantly did jumping charge S, it also crosses up and i couldn’t punish on block.
is super skrull lvl 3 invicible and hits instantly?
Sorta like zero’s lvl 3? I just want to know if i could use it to counter someone trying to chip me.
Nope. I remember trying it against Morrigan’s missile super but got hit coming down. Skrull’s vulnerable when coming up + coming down until he hits for the cinematic hits.
For his Skrull Torch super, has there been a confirmed method to maximize the number of hits?
I find that if you aim for the feet of the character you tend to get more hits, but in all the match vids I’ve seen, they don’t seem to do that. Is it just online lag?
A lot of how many hits you get depends on multiple factors. Like after a meteor smash or something, if you cancel into that by mistake instead of inferno, you’re only going to get like 15 hits.
Off the tenderizer, I tend to steer straight then up, and seem to get enough hits on it.
In the corner, I think if you’re too close, when facing the corner, then you’ll have the same problem as meteor smash.
I prefer inferno in practically every way off of guaranteed combo setups.
Like after you land elastic slam, while you can combo into his a.2H into a launch, you can also go straight to meteor smash (cross-up) inferno, and I know it at least does more damage than if you were to go into tenderizer > torch after elastic slam. Also depending on your other characters, you can get easy DHC off of it. Only trick is your timing for the meteor smash has to be tight whereas tenderizer > torch gives you a little more time.
I’d like to see this UK Skrull. Canada Skrulls just got bodied.
