lurk harder

Whoa you pissed off? Did someone beat you with Dan?

lol

i just dont like ppl asking for everything specially the god damn loop. There are plenty of threads with lots of info, just read.

of course there are specific or outdated info, but all those Q`s are basic info.

True enough.

Hmm, I’m having some slight trouble fighting Adon’s and their Jaguar Tooth. He’s too far away to get two cr. LK’s, so I need to go from one cr. LK to Ex Legs right? If I don’t have meter, is it possible to get in cr. LP after blocking it?

tooh is pretty much safe on block

you can u1 on reaction when he touches the wall (hard)

you can do a preventive far hp or cr.hp to stuff it (hard)

you can neutral jump hk to hit him from behind (nemo style)

anything else is just pure luck

Chun can stuff jaguar tooth with quite a few different normals, even df lk and st jab can beat it if timed properly (i wouldnt recommend trying it though) st hk and st mk are good options to beat it too, along with st and cr hp as Malva said.

I find cr hp the safest bet, it seems a bit more lenient on the timing than the other options and I’ve had occasions where I pressed cr hp too early to stuff the jaguar but as it moves you forward and lowers your hitbox I’ve still managed to escape damage as adon whiffs over your head rather than trades or beats you.

And you can get good damage off of cr. HP with m. SBK or m. legs loop, right? I’ll try practicing that now I think. edit Nooope, no combo from cr. HP, he’s airborne facepalm. Maybe :df: :lk: into kikosho could work out better, dash ex legs might work too, hmmm.

I got :df::lk: kikosho to work for 305 dmg, and :df::lk: dash EX legs to work for 120 dmg (160 if it’s deep)… which sucks and you’re better off trying to standing roundhouse for a 120 dmg counterhit. :d::hp: seems to be the safest and easiest option though. Still better off using raw kikosho, much easier to get in than hosenka :P, and that’s almost a third of their life punishment. Not sure why nobody has mentioned it yet.

Okay, I see why now, if he uses a light jaguar tooth, you waste your kikosho and cop a black eye. But you’re still pretty safe going from :df::lk: to kikosho I think.

Just punish JT with Hosenka for big damage. It covers every version.
On block it’s a free super (or even reversal EX Legs for the EX version) . Otherwise I’d stick to cr. HP or st. HP to stuff it on the way down.

u1 is hard to react tho

but with practice is a little less hard

Chun - Gen is in Gen’s favor. Pick U1 it punishes his mash hand slap on block.

Even that’s situational and depends on how many times the hands connect on block. Crouch blocking usually will make it only connect once, which you can punish but it’s not always gonna be like that and he has a lot of freedom to do other safe BS when he knows you want to punish.
It’s probably my least favorite matchup right now and a good friend of mine mains him. :wasted:
He’s mained and played well with several characters (including Akuma) and I still find this matchup to the biggest PITA.

If he gets close… you have to guess. If he knocks you down… you have to guess (and you’re in safe jump city). Wanna try and control space and zone with FBs? Nope. he has Ultra 2 to punish that free for half your health. Is there a tradeoff to using U2 over U1 for him? Not really. He can still combo into it after super for a lot of gray health and if you guess the following mixup wrong… welp, you just lost 650 to 700+ health and probably the round. He’s also pretty much guaranteed to have super since with his buffs, he doesn’t have to burn EX to do decent damage anymore.

Can’t really outpoke him either. That’s right his pokes are good vs Chun, tend to do more damage on trades and are simpler to pressure with and confirm into super since he doesn’t need to charge. He has variable jump arcs and his KKK stance J. HP is ridiculously good and hard to AA. Everybody knows about his KKK stance J. MK. If you can react in time walk or dash under and behind him then hit with a cl. HK or sweep to hit these from the blind spot. Conversely, he doesn’t have a hard time anti-airing Chun at all (you know how it is).

Sweep is an even -7 punish, but you can only super, ultra, sweep (tight), or st. mp (tight). No reversal EX Legs because of hitbox BS. It also trades with LP and MP Kikoken for a dumb knockdown and safe jump setup. Use HP kikoken to avoid this.

His st. mp is +5 on block. You can low profile cr. mk to counter it, but you still have to respect it if he’s too close.

Re: safejumps. A lot of his are 4f safe jumps and Chun’s reversal super can actually beat all legit 4f safe jumps. Anything slower will result in them getting hit in the air and pretty much a wasted super.

He does have low stun (900), so target this if you get an opening.

For a while I switched to U2 for this match just so I could have more freedom of movement without constantly backing myself into the corner, but it doesn’t really change it that much (still have to adjust your spacing) so I switched back to U1. I’d rather have some checks on him (hands and sweep) than to fish for that when it’s hard to just open him up or get a clean AA anyway.

Meanwhile in Call of Duty…

Was friends with the country’s best Gen for a while, and I felt it was an even matchup. Haven’t really tried U1, cause he didn’t leave his HHS and sweep open anyway. Definitely an odd one and you have to keep his pokes/sweep/HHS into consideration. Had success zoning since the Gen I fought didn’t fully explore U2, and regardless of Ultra I don’t/couldn’t zone a Gen once he had Ultra (worse, Super + Ultra) anyway.

a little something against gen

Little late to the party, but against Adon’s Jaguar Tooth if I have charge I virtually always do cr.HP xx MP Kikoken. If it hits, he is air reset and is forced to block or take a hit because of where the Kikoken is. If he does the LK version, you’re far enough away that you just get cr.HP and nothing happens. If he does MK version, sometimes you can tag him and still get the Kikoken, other times you can get him with the second hit.

Adon can theoretically do an invincible reversal or Ultra if he doesn’t want to block the fireball in that situation, but you will recover in time to block.

Found on the Rose Facebook group, interesting…

In before LOLCHUNSETH5-5

azrael and necro are the ones who were giving feedback to that chart… and im pretty sure that chun vs seth its not 5-5

but then again im not jap player

Chun likes that Seth is one of a few characters in the game that has less life than her.

Seth’s bullshit is…well…Seth’s bullshit. All the characters have to deal with it in some way or another. For Chun at least she has a few tools to keep him from doing whatever he wants whenever he wants.

They should give Chun a Nano-Suit and a Heavy Machine gun.

That or something to use against Seth and stop the bitching.
