…With these failed projects, do any of such people who have their heads that high in the clouds, have they even bothered taking something like Business 101 or some shit?
Ha! I knew this game was gonna be trash since the first day I saw it advertised here and promoted on Max’s channel. ( He’s taking a big L for this because he backed this game with a passion ) And that vid confirmed what I thought. Just some dudes who saw the success of Skullgirls and wanted to get a piece of the pie. But found out the hard way that it isn’t easy money. Well it kinda was because the money he got through indiegogo he’s free to keep. But yeah there’s so many indie fighting game devs popping up due to the success of Skullgirl’s.
Skullgirl’s is like the Street Fighter II of indie fighting games. But unlike in the 90’s. There isn’t gonna be this great indie fighting game boom. Because for the most part. The people jumping on the banwaggon are just hacks who think it’s easy money. Shit judging from it all the guy in charge seemed to be like the typical furry artist when it comes to fighters. Knows jack shit about the series and has never played it, but loves the characters. But at least most of them don’t try making a fighting game. But this guy just had to be the one to try. Hell he even has a Furaffinity account.
You are aware Skullgirls’ initial development budget was around a million dollars right? That’s not an indie budget by any stretch of the imagination. They did not just have a million bucks lying around to make a game with. Konami helped them in a lot of ways.
