I don’t DC, but I’ve kicked some people out of the lobby after I’ve played them enough, say, losing 8 straight times. There are ones you can lose to and feel it’s still fun if they really show their shit and you know they’re good, especially ones that rush me down. I’d continue to play them just to see more of it. Then you have the ones where fighting them gets a little irritating, whether I feel I could do better, or they insist on counterpicking or choosing last ALL the time. Whether a tactic is legitimate or not, there are certain styles that are bound to annoy you.
Damn dude, that’s the worst… I see a Gen icon and get all excited, thinkin I’m going to get some more matchup experience vs gen and them BAM… fuckin’ ryu… Talk about blue balls.

I’ve noticed I get kicked from lobbies more frequently when I have a Vega (claw) Title and icon. But when I change it to just one of the standard non-character specific ones or another character, say Rufus, I never get kicked.
Do people dodge Vega players or something?

If you want matchup experience against Gen use the Gen icon. It attracts them because they’re also looking for that mathup exp and they wanna compare Gens. Gen players beat me down though so I’ve still got ways to go lol.

I don’t quit for any reason. Just because you play some games that are lag-free and others that are almost unplayable, doesn’t mean the latter matches are the other player’s fault. You might be just as much the culprit, so don’t send out angry messages like you’re better than everyone else. The other player had to deal with the exact same lag, so they were at just as much of a disadvantage as you were. It’s just a game; Get over it and save yourself the DC%.
And I can’t stand people when they kick me because I have 3 bars. SO WHAT, it happens all the time. Your “bar” rating is only a snap shot of your packet transfer speed at one particular point in time. In all likelyhood, it’s all going to change once you get in the game. You can play 5 bar matches that lag like hell, and you can play 1 bar matches that are lag free. Stop kicking people like it’s any more their fault than it is yours.
Wow, I just got 3 rage quits against me in a row and every message I got back asking why is “Vega player.” Except for one who replied “White people” that made me giggle my ass off.
As for post above. Meh, everyone has their reasons, mine are generally from laggy Zangief players who do nothing but lariet.
I’ll be honest, I do this all day. If I can choose who I play against (and there are plenty of people out there), why would I take the risk of playing someone to whom I have a bad connection? 95% of my green bar matches are low-lag and stay low-lag, whereas maybe 15-20% of my 3-bar matches are low-lag. You don’t learn anything when you spend the first round just trying to feel out the lag so you can adjust your playstyle, then spend the other round or two pulling your hair out anyway.
The other option is “4 bars or gtfo” … and it keeps my life a little more sane. 
Sounds like you care more about what an ambiguous online community may or may not think about you than your girlfriends time and feelings.

I use to DC on some people before they came out with the update that shows disconnect rates, but not for the reason you may think. Before the championship mode update if I join a room and a guy takes all 30 seconds to pick his character and all 15 seconds to select a stage then I’ll wait till the beginning of the match to DC. They think they’re being funny by delaying the match, I’ll waste there time by giving them no match. I honestly miss doing this, but like I said, I’d only do it under those conditions.
