Bayonetta demands Dante (DMC) to make her a sandwich. Patch fix available for PS3!

Yeah, but even so, with PS3 games, you still have to submit to each region individually (there’s global submission, but in that case, Sony does the regional submissions for you, so there’s still regional submission). Each regional SKU will have a unique title ID and service ID for patches, save data, game data, and stuff. Trophy IDs, however, are global, so I’m sure all versions will use the same trophy pack. But this is all moot because the games themselves are always region free.

Ironically, MS does have a global submission system and global (W-signed) title IDs and Achievements, so it’s weird that Bayonetta might be region locked on the 360. I suspect this is the case because region locking is optional for MS but straight up not allowed by Sony.

EDIT: And just for the sake of completeness, all Nintendo games have to go through Nintendo’s corporate office in Japan. You submit it to your regional branch first, and then that branch has to submit it to Nintendo Japan for final approval.

Thanks. Even though I delete my post since I should have googled in the first place.

oh yeay, one gripe I have with the game:

when u start New Game, you have 3 difficulty options available:

Very Easy, Easy, Normal

so assuming this persists in the domestic release, if you like me wanted to play on Hard when xbox version comes stateside, you’ll need to go thru yet another playthru -_-

Yeah, well, some of us got every accomplishment in DMC4 PS3, and then they never patched for trophies. Cry us a river. :annoy:

had 360 version, does dance

Can you turn the battle voices off in this game(without turning off the sound effects?). Her grunts and groans are driving me crazy(in a bad way).

I thought every multi-language PS3 game automatically adjusted to your system’s language settings? JP DMC4 booted up on my PS3 with English subtitles and menus.

Yeah, it’s supposed to, unless it supports languages not supported by your system software, in which case it needs to show a language selection screen at boot. Meanwhile, if you choose a language in your system software that the game does not support (for example, Korean), the game gets to choose a supported language to default to.

The Devil’s in the Detail Featurette

I’m still wondering if I should import or not. Some of the early impressions from GFaqs/NeoGaf say the framerate/textures/colors are still inferior on the PS3.

Might just wait for the superior version shrug

My paycheck just wont come soon enough =/

Yeah, I think I’m going 360 on this one too. Framerate issues = bad times. And since reviewers can’t make up their mind as to whether they’re fixed or not on PSTriple, I’ll make the decision based on what I know (which means getting the version without all that).

Yeah, same here…I’ll go for the 360 version definetly, even if the problems PS3 version has are no deal breakers for the game as a whole. Fortunetly I don’t have a clear cut preference in controller so…whatever (unless we were talking about a fighting game of course, 360 D-pad = NO).

I’m really hyped for this game. The demo has only confirmed how awesome this game is but I do have reservations regarding the frame rate and the visuals, particularly the frame rate. I wouldn’t mind waiting if Sega could fix the PS3 version for the US release; or are they done with the game and releasing it as is? If so then then the team working on it are a bunch incompetent lazy ass fools and have incurred my wrath.

I finally got around to playing the demo today, and as I expected, it was a horrible idea because now it’s much harder to not impatiently await its release. It was the first time I’ve ever booted up a demo, started playing it, and got so enthralled that I forgot I was playing a demo until it suddenly and cruelly ended, reminding me that I don’t actually have the game.

I think it’s actually the opposite. I heard that the PS3 build didn’t even exist at E3 time, so them making a port as good as it turned out in such a limited time is a herculean effort.

I heard the PS3 port is actually quite good, just not as good as the 360 version, which has happened lots of times in the past thanks to the PS3 being a little more difficult to co-operate with.

Superking has the PS3 version and confirmed the game has english menu’s. He also says the final product runs much better. So for those who only have a PS3, the game runs well so no worry.

I love this game so much.
