Can anyone else manage to get a “platinum” ranking in the demo? I can only seem to get a “gold” so far.
If I can only A rank the demo, sheesh.
Some of the stronger combos in the game take more time to pull off, which arent likely when the screen is full of aggressive enemies. The PKP combo has been my go to so far, with [witch time]j.PPPPP-P being my favorite for large enemies.

Make sure you’re getting the fight at the very beginning of the level, the monsters spawn after you finish the first fight in the courtyard. Also, I’ve gotten Plat, the second “boss” fight and the fight with two monsters before that should be easy Pure Plat medals.

I thought it was great, and I usually hate games like this. It’s the same campy fun you see in Devil May Cry, and the soundtrack feels like it was inspired by Fantastic Plastic Machine. Cutscenes were really cheap, though.
Playing this demo made me insane. I want this freaking game RIGHT NOW.
OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. Where do I begin? With the flawless controls? The amazing presentation? The Sublime combos? holy shit this game is amazing. It controls soooo well. When I want Bayonetta to do something she does it without a seconds hesitation. The scoring system is fantastic. I am already engrossed in trying to Platinum this Demo which i did after 5 tries. I finished up with 1 silver, 2 gold and 2 platinum for a Platinum Finish. I took a picture to show you guys but Photbucket is being stupid and just not unploading any of my pictures so I’ll try again later unless someone else knows a good place to upload a picture right quick.
Now to get Pure Platinum.

Finished the 360 demo first (made a JPN XBOX Live account, and downloaded it from there), opening “Clocktower” stage was madness. Just waiting for the PS3 demo to complete then I’ll give that a whirl too. I agree with all of the positive reviews so far, this game is going to be nuts.
Man, the 360 demo is crazy. Its a little frantic, especially during the falling clock tower, wish the camera could have gotten in a little closer, but I loved the section after that. This game is going to be amazing!

I got a really stupid question, but bear in mind I’m on an SDTV so it’s hard to see, but I’m in tutorial right now practicing the commands and there’s one that looks like you’re supposed to twirl the left stick in a 360 then press punch(or kick), but nothing seems to come out.
DLed the PS3 demo…this game looks awesome. Can’t wait for the release. I wonder if the PS3 ver has a chance of being up to pay w/the 360 version.
You’re just supposed to hold the stick in a direction and keep pressing the button. I got confused with that part too.

I wish there was a hard mode on the demo. Cause it feels way too easy.
This is a video of me getting platinum for the 1st time. I suck, but hell I was just happy to do it. I recorded in HD so the quality should be good, anyway I admit I am now getting addicted to Bayonetta.

After watching the vid of the Japanese player I see how effective the jumping kick is on crowd control. If I only knew this before…
Anyway maybe it’s good I didn’t xcopy anyone and I learned what I could on my own. Experimentation is half the fun in any game.
