Is this everyone’s Game of the Year? I know we still have a few months to go but so far nothing has been better than Bayonetta to me. The game is pretty much without flaws.
This game is probably still my favorite game so far this year. But again, I still haven’t played SMG2.
I was looking forward to this game so much that I got the Climax Edition.
I have a total hard-on for Bayonetta.
Bayonetta is game of the year for me too, with Modnation Racers a close second. It was a breath of fresh air for the genre.
Definitely game of the year for me.
Definitely best action game for me, possibly game of the year depending on how Halo Reach turns out.

yeah, right from the start I was doubting that anything else released for the rest of this year could possibly top that. Sadly, Bayonetta’s greatness is also why I didn’t care about finishing Darksiders. I know they’re not the same game, but coming out on the same day REALLY hurt Darksiders for me. That’s an incredibly hard act to follow. Like…imagine a rookie musician getting ready to take the stage… after a performance by Michael Jackson and Prince.
Also, I still listen to the game’s music on a daily basis. I love “Greatest Jubilee”(theme of the final boss) and Blood & Darkness especially: [media=youtube]Gn8-by_PM1o[/media] (this plays for B’s final fight against my honey Jeanne.)
Speaking of the fights… I’ve missed out on some ps2 classics(disclaimer there) but this game seriously has the greatest boss battles I’ve ever played/seen. It’s almost as fun/entertaining to watch these battles as it is to play them.

Would anyone else rather have one single copy of Bayonetta over a entire collection of DMC, GoW, NG? I certainly would without a second thought.
Another question, anyone played/beating Angel Slayer mode? The farthest i’ve ever goting was the final fight against clone bayonetta. If only I would have hit her a few times and triumph over her I would’nt have a emotional break down… Angel slayer mode takes a daunting 1 1/2 - 2 hours to complete.
I’d definitely take it over GoW. I’d probably take it over NG and DMC too. I’ve put a lot of hours into this game and I’m still not done.
And fuck angel slayer mode… i’ve tried it a million times.

Over GOW no doubt. DMC, except for DMC3, still pop it in from time to time.
