JOn stick with Ryu and learn those combos. hes aight. do the first super and learn short short super and parry low forward super and youll be golden. hes got some moves that prevent people rom jumping in and he pokes them away. STRATEGY

still no love for cvs2, i really think you guys should quit that game entirely unless you get 360’s. i feel its something different when you have the perfect 360s working for you in that game. some idiots may disagree.

3s and mvc2, my homeboys play that game but they mash a lot on xbox, i told them im great on other systems, but they dont believe me, soon they wil understand my greatness and experience it first hand muaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaa

My family is out of the ordinary. We don’t really have much family outside the United States surprisingly, but there is a catch. My parents try to hide a lot of stuff from other family. We are constantly conspirizing and trying to be people we are not. I don’t appreciate it much. when it comes to my family there is no love, there is strictly monetary(money) and nonmonetary. Let’s say for instance that I make good grades ( All a’s). From then on, it’s not about what grades I’ve made but how much it costs them. That’s all I ever hear about. Even when I’m not in school, that’s all I hear about. That’s why it sucks for me to be home. My parents don’t really get along much with other supposed close family, but I certainly do. My parents have these “uneducated” theories about everything. If I play games, I have become childish. If I play basketball, I have nothing better to do. There is no pleasing my parents. Sure they put food in my mouth and a roof over my head, but isn’t there supposed to be something more? They have all these speculations about other races too. My family is perhaps the most racist of all. I hear constant jokes that aren’t real funny, but are pretty bad in terms of scrutinizing people. This goes for all, even Indian. Anyway, enough of that.

A lot of parents these days are the kind who have not been brought up in a society like that of the United States. Despite living in the States, they have animosity towards it, like the country is out to get them. Once society as a whole gets past this biased, I think THEN the country will prosper, economy will proser, and people as a whole will have an enjoyable life no matter what walk of life theyve come from. I dunno if your family is illegal, and I apologize if they arent. But truly, the illegals coming over, is what has this country in shambles. They steal identities and pose them as thei own which causes some other citizen to lose theirs. It’s okay to make your own decisions. Just because your family thinks something does not mean you should think them also. If this was true, youd still have black/white violence, no affirmative action, no rights as a minority in the US. Time brings education, whether it is school or street schooling. When these people realize that people make their own decisions, then the forced possible wrong decision gets overtaken to the right decision.

Whats the word on the 3s, hows yalls game? As far as the other games go, and me noticing your progress, I really fell you should all concentrate on 3S. Cvs2, you just dont have the time for it, marvel you could, but its gonna take some time which means quitting everything else. 3s I really believe you all have a good base for it. Practice amongst yourselves, do those damaging combos, or go flashy every so often like me, and practice to win. That’s what you take to tourney. not the weak game that you guys have right now. My game is weak also, but I can adjust and have something to adjust. You guys get to it. Tekken is fun and all, but unless you guys practice arcade style with it, play at home only. T5 tournies at home. Not worth getting beat for your registration fee. 3S at least you put up a fight

I hear ya, I play 3s at home but I have a question though, is their anything u can’t do on the dreamcast as opposed to doing something on ps2 like a certain move perhaps?

I’m not sure of all the differences. The DC is not arcade perfect by far, but I believe the 3s on ps2 is. Check the threads for the actual differences or PM someone. You should post in the dfw forum and you will get your question answered fully. DFW plays a lot of 3s now, and I know most of those people there too. So you should get no beef. But don’t pick no fights, because you did before with Fanatic, and trust me, that was a fight you would not win. These are contacts you must make in order to travel and play. You dont want to have beef and them ask them to stay at their place for a regional or some gettogether ya know. Think future!

I noticed you guys dont get involved in the postings. Cruise the forums on 3s and mvc2 and learn some shit. If you have questions still post. Every question you could possibly ask nowadays probably has already been asked. I found all my info there and then test it out in tmode or when i causal play (ie. when I pick on you guys :clap: ) Character specific is the way to start. Ive been losing to a friends ryu on a consistent basis. Not use to that. Also, be sure to set the setting of the threads for characters to beginning, so you see every post about that character

well then let me ask yet another question, do u know anything about a certain setting in 3s, its located in the options menu its called SYSTEM DIRECTION wat does that mean and how does it work? I see it in all the consoles, wat does it all mean(lol)?

3S has weird rules, but once you get use to these rules then they become clear. Things like you can only do so many hits. SYSTEM DIRECTION allows you to change different aspects of the game like air-blocking, combos. This is not usually changed from default because it skews the gameplay to which the standard has been set already. Theres no point in asking questions about that. Most of the combo vids you watch, mention something about nothing being changed in SYSTEM DIRECTION. Why are you asking? One thing about 3S, I dont know if its really worth playing the computer over and over. I have never beaten the computer straight through on hardest setting without losing.

Also John has never beaten me in 3S. :encore:

Joe you off tonight? jons still asleep. I think we’ve been gettin alot of 3s in. Me and Angela are still the only ones playin cvs2, mainly cuz thats her best game, besides sc2, and the whole character dream match situation. I could have Geese, akuma, bison, zangief, and honda on one team, it doesnt get better than that.

3s is the main game right now, but some fools aint as serious. Joe is my only comp right now till you come back down.I could get that combo done at any time now, getting the timing down and everything. Im messin around with akuma. I know hes one of the weakest chars, but hes my favorite Im never givin up on that guy.

Also Pat wrote us from the navy so I wanna send him some pics and also put together messages from everybody to send him. anywayz ima go see the fire works tonight so if we’re gonna battle we gotta make it early, yuff.

Joe maybe intrested in that one. I just ordered the 360’s, 2 of em:clap:. Gonna start working on the boxes and new pcb tomorrow. I think I’ll go the adapter route though. To much work for project boxes.

Hey John!

Make sure you make these boxes nice. What I suggest you do is make them bigger than the other ones you have. Make them big enough to where you put them on the ground and you can sit and play comfortably. My homeboy skimitar has two decent ones. 7"-8" inches off the ground high. And be sure to use the convex buttons. Dont do the jap layout. It’s not worth it. Hack the madcatz pads. Theyre easy and simple enough for you and they work nicely. make the boxes heavy enough so that when you rotate the joystick 360, you dont lift it off the ground. Trust me, it may be a pain to carry around and move and such, but it’s better than those lap sticks. You guys need to learn better execution in all the games. Also, dont worry about any slope. Leave the box flat and square. Make precision cuts. If need be, get them done by home depot, sometimes they do it for free. I suggest you put a lot of time and effort into making these stick badass like. perfect workmanship. Instead of buying nice wood, do some price tag switching or get some old countertop from this place called the re-store. I think its on franklin and thirteenth. theyve got cheap wood for the not so wealthy, but its cheap. also if you wait for people at the end of the summer, they will be throwing away their furnoture, you could find some good material there. Thas what I did for my other stick, that I never ordered the buttons and stick for=)

well it still goes back and forth between Jon and me cause their are times he wins then I win, I wouldn’t count Jon out just yet, he has worked on his parry which still makes him a contender, as for the spinnin kick, yeah I still jump yet the super jump is wat I tend to forget about I’m startin to no longer do it as much cause I know I’ll get punished for it.
