I just moved down from Canada. Is there any action in San Fran or Berkeley? Are there good arcades around here? Events?
Guilty Gear is my main but I like all the quality fighting games.

Don’t play much in San Francisco or Berkeley anymore, but I think people still play at the bearcade on the campus of UCB.
If you take some time to look through this forum, I’m sure you’ll find a thread for each specific place you’re looking for.
 you should of probably checked the other threads before posting here but real quick the GZR Nights! thread holds tournaments every friday in various games and have casuals and free play there every friday as well. we will have Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Guilty Gear:AC tourny on **March 21st **at chabot college with plenty of casuals as well. anyways
for marvel check the: nEEEzy…“THIS GUY, HOW DO YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF???” thread
for Guilty Gear check: Norcal Accent core players thread
for top tier 3rd strike and Capcom vs SNK 2 check: Keystone II (Albert’s Arcade) or their forums.
everything else would/should have the title of the game in the thread. :bgrin:
Thanks for the replies. I will post in the appropriate threads.

Boy are you out of touch. Bearcade’s been closed for like 2 years.
If you play CvS2 at all, we play pretty frequently in Berkeley. PM for details.
Last time I was there I think Choi was passing out videos of some tournament. Forget which.
Could have sworn I saw a bearcade thread though.

I’m looking to meet up w/ 3S and ST players or really any other 2D fighting game. I live in Emeryville so I am hoping to hook up w/ some East Bay players. So far its just me and my buddy Chris playing 3S at my school Ex’Pression in Emeryville every weekend. PM me!
Wuttt I dropped out of expression(trying to get back in.) Let me know if you want to get some 3S or ST on.
Bearcade thread still exists but it’s just a place for some of us old regulars to make random talk. Don’t remind us of its closing. =(

Even if you cant pay to play in the tournament, I encourage everyone to come out and just play at the casual stations to meet up with other local gamers, general admission is 100% free for that very purpose. GAMERS UNITE, GET HYPE ETC!
Hope to see you guys there!
i am interested, ao can i be in touch with you, or ao can go there to play
 Game-Zone Recreation:tup: is trying to help the scene out as much as we can with our tournaments GZR Nights!. I know it’s on fridays but that is basically the only days we can get. even if you don’t or don’t want to enter the tournaments you can come for the casual play and have a good time. :wgrin:
Just thought I’d post here, but I’m in San Anselmo (5 miles north of SF), Berkeley (on Thursday), and Cupertino/San Jose/Sunnyvale during the weekends. I welcome anyone who plays them fighting games! >:3
