Yea this is a brand new character just for the show. If they get their shit together and actually do some real writing this is their chance to pull a Harley and a create a popular character who can make the jump from little starter show to the books, other shows and even movies.
Season 1 does not bode well for those chances tho.

Oh that shit most def gettin cancelled. I donât think show was doing that well, and a sudden change in the main character would probably push away the fans it does have left

A lot of cracks in the armor. I mean last I heard Stephen Amell wasnât too happy with them. They forced Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford off of Legends. Outside of Jon Cryerâs surprisingly good version of Lex theyâve been whiffing hard the last few years.

Even by CW forgiving ratings threshold, Batwoman seems like itâs on life support. Unless they do a 180 ,2 seasons will be it.
I think Flash will end around season 8. And the others will end around the same time. Ollie and Barry felt like the lynchpins if the CW Arrowverse and it feels the others will react according to the lifespans of those 2.

I wonder what the people that thought Ruby Rose wasnât gay enough will think of this. Isnât this actress married to man. I personally donât care but CW made a point of how important it was.
I like how CW casually spoiling what happens with Kate, probably shouldâve saved a massive reveal like that for the show. 
They are trying to generate interest. The shows ratings arenât good. People will point to it having similar numbers to Supergirl but leave out that it took Supergirl five seasons to sink to those numbers.
