Maybe, but I don’t see how them going to earth would make things any better.
It just comes off a bit strong, and preachy. One of the few non believers (Baltar) was almost portrayed as arrogant and naive before he was converted. I liked Baltar a lot more before he got all religous. Was a more interesting character.
i got played
i just finished seasons 1 and 2 as of this weekend and im pumped to catch up on season 3
but they moved to friday nights argh i have school that night
…lol I searched for “galactica” in this forum 5 times and nothing came up and I could swear this thread existed because I saw it a almost a month ago when I started watching the show. Turns out “Galactica” there is no mention of Galactica in this thread at all. lol good thing I searched for “Battlestar”.
Anyway, I am watching the latest show right now, I have finally caught up. As I said in The Thinking Out Loud Thread several weeks ago, …I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW !!!
Best damn show on TV! My only gripe is that the budget could be and SHOULD be bigger for this show. Once in a while it shows (reused sets, downtown Vancouver as Caprica complete with a LARGE ScotiaBank logo on the building, etc) but it doesn’t take away from the strong narrative so it’s all cool. Plus, the special effects (when they are on screen) are PHENOMENAL! Exodus pt 2 anyone? That scene when the Galactica jumped within the atmosphere just to deploy Vipers was the coolest frakking thing ever. Plus the handheld cams (inside AND outside the ship) are perfect for the show. I can’t even start to talk on how awesome the actors are. I frakkin almost cried when Adama made that speech at the end of Exodus about finding “…immortality as only the gods once knew.” Tigh’s “cheek wobble” during scenes where a lesser actor would just grunt uncharacteristically
That’s the million dollar question isn’t it? “They (Cylons) have a plan” after all. Why would they want to go to earth? How much “truth” were in their answers to Baltar’s questions? They are known to mix truth with half-truths after all to further their agendas.
I don’t think its going to happen. This show is so character driven that they are never exactly the same after each encounter. Even Gaeta seems more serious and darker now after the Collaborators episode (I’m looking at him now while watching the latest episode “The Woman King”, he has no lines but his “normal” facial expression looks a lot different than pre-New Caprica Gaeta.
Anyway, I’m sick of all these stupid side stories. I feel like all the Starbuck/Apollo bullshit is to appeal to a larger audience. Anyway, I just wish they would have some sort of reason for the Cylons to go to earth instead of just assuming there is one. Still best show on tv
