Especially if it ends in a REALLY lame way. In which case they should get it over with NOW, and not make us wait THAT long to experience a shitty conclusion.
WTF? Aren’t all the episodes long done already, why milk/drag this out like that?
Heh yeah.
“That frakin’ ship model was put there to be DESTROYED during such scenes damnit! you’re really losing it now bill!”[/tigh voice]
Amazing episode. Very few shows can keep you on the edge of your seat and BSG does it wonderfully. I think that they really have reached earth. Gaeta confirmed the constellations that were recorded when it was seen during one of the signposts. If you can watch the episode again, take note of the city in the book, the architecture on Earth looks a lot like the one in the book. I do not think that this is the promised land though, this city’s been nuked to hell and Roslin’s still alive, so that would contradict the prophecy.
I stopped watching a few weeks ago, but my girlfriend wanted to watch last night, so I caught it, and I gotta say, I love Tigh. I think that guy is my favorite character. He has really come a long way from the beginning of the show, and the kind of grit, and sacrifice he shows really makes him the most sympathetic character.
I also got respect for Lee. He stepped up his game and was solid in this episode.
Wonderful. Even though this shit was finished about 8 months ago, they made us wait this long to see the rest. The most shallow milk’ing i’ve seen in a while.
“duh why air them now? Lets make’em wait and drag this thing out as much as possible”
Ok fine. I just hope that the “new” episodes lost the air of intense LAME that the last few were heading towards. Col.tigh for example, the last handful of episodes i remember DESTROYED any respect i had for the character. He was just a broken pathetic man last i saw, getting the cylon chick pregnant and all, turning his back on all his beliefs, etc.
Also Baltar! His once complicated and interesting character, got reduced to a sad pile of worthless emo shit. Is he destined for a greater purpose? Who the hell cares anymore?! Just get him off the screen.
It was almost like the show got a whole new director/writer team change up at the last minute, the way everything started to suck.
I do agree that I didn’t like the direction of the last batch of episodes, but for totally different reasons than True Grave
Either way, I’m very excited. I think this show, and the spin off will be the last decent shows on Sci Fi as it appears they are moving towards more and more shitty reality type shows, which makes the milking of this show all that much more painfully obvious. It’s kind of sad, cause when BSG was first starting out, Sci Fi seemed ready to try to become a really great network, with serious shows. I’m getting off track here.
Even though I’m still wary of the direction the show might head, it’s still the best show on TV
We get ten more episodes to end this right? I just want it to be good. I know it’ll be good but the waiting has been ridiculous. io is right, the ending better not suck or be too vague. I think that’s what I’m worried most about.
I am fairly optimistic for the finale. A bit wary of this whole “GRAND DESTINY” mystical side of the show but nothing so far has put me too off and it really has been there almost the whole time.
My wife and I were unfortunate enough to actually miss the beginning of Season 4, but we just got the DVD’s from Netflix just three days ago. So we bought some take-out dinner and some energy drinks, started a fire in the fire place and proceeded to watch almost 5 hours of BSG just so we can catch up. We started @ 9:30pm and we finished around 2:15am.
What sucks for me tonight? I have to work late so I miss tonights premiere.
