So a patch came out today…

My Steam auto downloaded it but my friend looked at the patch and said it was in excess of 900 MB. For a bunch of balance tweaks/bug fixes that is a massive patch. I played with it today, and the first time I tried to knife someone I still got the glitch.
C4 is ruining this game.
Only having ten maps is ruining this game.
i stopped playing this over a month ago. having head shots that don’t count, kills that require a full clip, laggy ass knife animation, etc… were enough for me to quit. the maps were getting old too but the horrible net code in this game really pissed me off. i remember launching a grenade at a squatting enemy and it landed right underneath his taint and he took no damage and then killed me.

How is no one talking about the Vietnam expansion? It looks great. New video today showed the flamethrower!
Probably because a lot (or many) people (including myself) were burnt on Onslaught/Camos, and
refuse to pay $15 for a piece of DLC only 4 maps, that IS NOT WORTH $15.

It took them a few tries, but it’s nice to see DICE finally give us some original maps. Hopefully they continue taking maps from the campaign and BC1, especially since everything from BC1 will be fresh for PC players.
Uh, yeah right! Wishful thinking dood, and I would side with you but I don’t think that’s what will
happen. I’m thinking this will be DICE’s last hurrah with BFBC2, alongside Vietnam Before they really
start busting down on BattleField 3, and probably start setting up servers for their Play4Free game
too.

Update just went live earlier today for consoles. START DOWNLOADING. 1.7GBs/40 minutes download/install
depending on your connections. I’m getting all excited to play those new maps from Map Pack 7. THey’re
not available as of yet (will be opened server-side in about 48 hours?) but what ***REALLY ***surprised me is
that optics for the G3 and M14 are real now!
That’s right even though the maps aren’t available yet—people everywhere are running around with those
2 weapons with 4Xs and RDSs on em. LOL, new toys. I’ve already seen a few videos of the PC crowd
playing around with the new maps, which sucks for console owners, but still—FUN!

Update is so huge because it contains Map Pack 7, Vietnam and the latest update for the game,
with a shit ton of fixes/tweaks/updates, ect. Which can all be read about here.

If I download the third title update, can I delete the other 2 updates or do i still need them for the game to function?
It sounds like you’re playing w/the PC crowd. I wouldn’t have a definitive answer for you but
my educated guess wants to say you should never be deleting old updates anywayz. You
can’t be running of of HDD space—are you?

Anyone gonna get the Vietnam edition? I already pre-ordered for PC, and will dl as soon as it is possible. After watching the trailer on gametrailers, it just look too damn good. The only issue I have is using the keyboard since I am more use to the xbox controller…
Definitely getting it for PS3. Looks fun, and I loved Battlefield Vietnam.

I played this all day yesterday… It is good.
I’ve been playing Vietnam on PC. I have a few gripes about some of the conquest maps, but those should hopefully go away as people get their hands on the game and learn the maps. Overall, I like it a lot though.
