I need xbox users to add. Let me know who you are or add me plz.
I’m pretty sure the beta is representative of what the game will be like when it’s released. If there’s any optimization to be done, it’s probably minor. My system is decent, quad core and 3 gb of ram, i’m just thinking its time to upgrade my vid card. I’m also debating on selling my cd key when the game is released sine i don’t really like to buy fps’s on pc anymore. So if anyone is interested in buying let me know in the thread.
Two more days!!!
It’s come to my attention as of the EA/DICE forums that once again, something **ridiculously **newbie-created, made it into the final game. Weapon unlocks are no longer the worth-while trophies you would want to show off for all the hard time you put in towards getting them. The final weapons are achieved at a mere 47,000 points when from beta they were a long legged 220,000 points. Yeah, the points required were reduced by more than 4Xs. All because of the casual gamer—I FUCKING KID YOU NOT.
It might not aggrevate some of you but it fucking **pisses **me off.
~K.
I ran the game fairly decently with my dual core. They said they would be optimizing the game for dual core and core 2 duo processors.
I personally don’t mind because the last weapon unlocks aren’t exactly OP’d. And comparing it to MW2, there isn’t such a huge gap in terms of perks and weapons for someone level 10 and someone that whored out and is at level 50 or whatever.

Taken straight from a game guide, list of the Exp. it takes to unlock and what it does. Didn’t see it posted yet so here it is.
Nah, they’ve already announced that the majority of the video support wasn’t even in the beta.
ok i’ll buy that and wait for final release. Still would like to know what vid cards everyone is using if you get 60fps.
Ive Touched on 80FPS in beta with my GTX 275, Of course, nothing was happening at the time. Also, Its Battlefield, Judging a Battlefield game by the single player is just fucking retarded. As far as the casual gamer stuff goes, get used to it is all I can say, Hardcore gamers and developers that care are a dying breed, and almost no future games are going to be aimed at anyone other than casuals. I personally wont even bother playing the single player, Just straight to the thing that matters.
Thanks for that. I hadn’t seen the all-class weapons requirements yet, and now I see
where DICE changed all the required XP to. I’m not exactly sure why, because before,
the game had LEGGGGGS, and it was nice to know that if you really wanted say the MG3,
or the M16, you were gonna have to work for the motherfuckers…now all the class-specific
weapons are an afterthought and it’s all apparently about the M14MOD-0 and the G3. Ugh.
Personal gripe. Ignore it.
~K.
Also, A warfare game that has the Vintorez in it, that isn’t STALKER, I’m excite.
Apparently there’s a 4-pack for Steam, but the dudes at Dice don’t have any details other than “a few weeks”
fuck!
@ Cubanned… Did you have to delete your first impressions vid on youtube?

Adding this as a heads up rather than editing the my first post in case people gloss over it, this is taken from the same guy, same guide (Prima BFBC2 guide) used for the unlocks thread in the quote. I may be the only one who didn’t know this but according to that thread only certain things can go into certain slots, ie. SMG training (increases accuracy) only goes into slot 2. Might be old to most people but was news to me.
Edit
Thanks to the link KORY provided, found this on the same page
http://badcompanytwo.com/multiplayer/specializations/
Seems to have everything mentioned in the above threads, just a little cleaner.
Also, thanks for link Kory, knew about the end of March free maps, did not know about the camo DLC. I might grab it if I can make myself look like a ninja turtle like I can/do in Vegas 2 and depending on the points. Hopefully it truly sticks with flavor items rather than turning into a paid DLC gun/perk/class/etc. buy fest with useful things.

Guys, actually the retail disc version of the game does not have “all of the fixes from the beta + more”. Instead there will be a day 1 patch that takes care of this. This comes from a developer from DICE.

Keep forgetting to add things in the original posts. I posted this a while back in the Mass Effect 2 thread as well, but it’s just as golden here. Starting March 1, or tomorrow as of this post, Dr. Pepper/EA add Bad Company 2 to their list of games with Dr. Pepper sponsored DLC. This thread worked for me and others in the ME2 thread and, keeping in mind to click BFBC2 rather than ME2, or the Sims, Spore, etc. when prompted to select a game, these same codes should work just as well to get whatever.
The key here is this from ink #2… “In Battlefield: Bad Company 2 fourkit upgrades allow you to become a unique Special Activities soldier, with new camouflage and a modified weapon. Kit upgrades also contain new awards and an additional achievement.” Add that to what Kory gave us earlier and we’ll either not have to pay for that particular camo DLC, pay for part of it, or we still have to pay for what Kory’s linked talked about and there’s a unique Dr. Pepper DLC “camo” bundle.
Post yay or nay if you can/can’t get it working tomorrow, was easy for the ME2 stuff should be just as painless here.
Naw, I sent it to Machinima to see if they post it prior to release. Otherwise I’ll remove it from Private viewing. If you want to see it I’ll send you a link, PM me.
Just bought Global Agenda 2 days ago since my usual games bore me and I have to say, it really dampened my anticipation for BC2.
Oh well…still 3-4 days til euro release.
