Battle Arena Toshinden

Personally, I always thought Toshinden 1 felt a bit smoother than Toshinden 2 in play. But I gotta admit, Toshinden 2 has one of the best soundtracks of all friggin’ time. Ever since I ripped it from my (original, big box!!) Toshinden 2 disc, it hasn’t left my iPod.

BANDA RINGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Yeah the music in the entrie toshinden series was great. i have all the soundtracks besides the dance remake and subaru.

In subaru i hear eiji turns evil, and vermillion is back in it as well and hes the leader of the orginization. I pretty much had fun with all 3, but i had the most fun playing toshinden 3, the shit in that game was just nuts. People fight with chainsaws and guns, it was fucking crazy.

david used a chainsaw and so did his friend judgement

Does that mean that downloading it is legal? If that is the case does anyone have this game?

I am quite interested in this now knowing that the game has a character named Kayin…

BAT 2 was in the NCSU arcade back in 97-98 I believe. Capcom released it.

To me Toshinden was one of the predecessors of the Guilty Gear series in spirit. Only problem was they ruined it with 3 and Subaru.

I’d love to see a modern remake done in the KOF:MI engine (modified)

Omg BAT2 was the fucking shit I loved that game wow…Its like I completly forgot that game existed damn wish I could get that game…

They actually did make a 2D Toshinden, well kinda, it was the Game Boy port. Oddly enough it was actually decent, pretty similar to Takara’s Neo Geo ports of KOF and World Heroes 2 Jet, well it was made by Takara after all.

Its funny that you talked about this because 5 minutes ago I was checking several soundtracks from these series:

Battle Arena Toshinden (PSX)
Battle Arena Toshinden - Techno Groove
Battle Arena Toshinden - Remix
Battle Arena Toshinden - Tribute to Gamingforce
Battle Arena Toshinden - Before Stage - Vol.1
Battle Arena Toshinden 2
Battle Arena Toshinden 3
Battle Arena Toshinden Remix (Sega Saturn)
Battle Arena Toshinden Subaru

I still have my original CD from Saturn and that game was really cool (the gameplay was cool and the soundtrack from the final boss - cupido --> was and still is the best crazy/amazing soundtrack ever made in a game)

btw: Sho was my favorite character in the Sega Saturn remix version (double fireball) :karate:

Anyone know where you could buy any of these soundtracks?

TS3- David shooting girls (Miss Til, Rachel etc) and attacking them with a chainsaw was twisted.

The final enemy didn’t have a weapon- he used street fighter moves. :karate:

In story mode, heroes would only fight villians and vice versa.
Makes sense.

The monkey w/the claws was , but the concept art is hard to find, and

CALL ME QUEEEEEEEEEEEN!!

All about Fo, Ellis, Tracy, and Vermillion.

BAT1 had great music.

I wasn’t a fan of the 3D game but the GB game was one of the best handheld fighting games I’ve ever played. How they executed having so many [functioning] normals with 2 buttons is still pretty impressive today.

Eiji & Subaru = Superior Warriors

I liked the series until the third game came out. It was more of a strategic fighting game and I like that.^^ Btw, Sho’s bgm in BT1 was da bomb (a version of Bach’s Toccata & Fuge).

well my fav was Toshinden 3 and my fav chars were Eiji Shinjo and Kayin Amoh

jettmanas: Holy crap, I remember about that boss from TS3! He was like a parody/homage to SF, with his SF moves. There was the gay boss (he was like Dan Hibiki) and then there was the badass boss. (like Shin Akuma)

David was just too pimp. And remember Two Steps (I think that was his name) the Michael Jackson ripoff guy!? lol he was great.

It was Ten Count, aaawwwooohhhhh and his MJ rip off dance moves and the toshinden movie, that was wicked

I loved the bosses in BAT 1 and 2. Gaia (lol…Gaia) was tight as hell if not really hard. Uranus was pretty original. And MAster was too easy.

{currently listening to Chaos’ theme} I love being able to listen to the music straight out of the CD.

Speaking of Master, was Master a ‘he’ or a ‘she’? I was told they had mistranslated Master as a ‘she’ when they brought BAT2 stateside.
