But DC/WB wasn’t sure enough to keep the movie in Space, instead coming back to Earth for some dumbass reason. Then GotG comes out, and shows you how to do a movie about a guy from Earth chilling in space with aliens.
I think Ryan will be fine…as long as Marvel doesn’t try to rob the Deadpool role from him when he’s spent so many years trying to get that damn project off the ground. Whether he’s the ideal Wilson or not, that dedication can’t go unrewarded.

Yeah, he was genetically built to play the role of a ‘superhero’. He could literally play GL, Flash, Deadpool, Starlord, Gambit, etc with minimal change.

That can happen. Not only do you have the basic wishy-washy nature of paper to reality to begin with, about a million people put get their hands on things from point A to point B. It’s entirely possible for a good script/screenplay to be mangled by the time it hits the big screen.
And idk about you guys but Ryan Reynolds doesn’t strike me as the “Money, Dear Boy” type of actor. Idk if he goes straight for quality but he seems like the type that wants to make a movie that people would enjoy.
Yeah, I think Ryan Reynolds just gets stuck with bad rewrites/producers/directors because the dude is too funny and has too much of a presence to keep landing in all these bombs.
