Batman/Superman movie announced for 2016

Goyer would call you a neck bearded perma-virgin for knowing all that.

This one is the best IMO

Yea every time I look at that batman picture all I can think is “Look at this morose mother fucker. Look like someone pissed in his cheerios. Nooosh”

Why do I have an awful feeling that this film will be the trigger of all comic book films henceforth taking a steep drop in quality, going back to how they used to be?

Only the DC ones. Marvel has their live-action on deck.

Fair enough. Captain America 2 was excellent. (Although ASM2 was a bit of a mess…)

asm2 wasn’t marvel

Only 3 marvel movies are technically good and that is IM1,avengers and winter soilder.

The rest are all uneven and in the case of the 2nd wave pretty shitty.

It’s funny when you think about it, DC/WB has had Batman and Superman on the big screen for decades, but not once have they had them occupy the same film.

So why now? What could’ve have motivated them to do such a thing when they’ve had multiple chances in the past to create a shared universe? Those questions are the biggest reasons why I’m critical of what DC/WB is attempting to do. Marvel took their time to build-up a shared universe, they have done it well enough without their A-tier superheros (Spider-Man/The X-Men), and raised the popularity of Iron Man/Captain America/Thor in the process.

Marvel is now trying their hand at even more obscure characters from the comics, and DC is just starting to do Superman and Batman in one movie? Now that is crazy.

Since I got people disagreeing with me, outside those 3 marvel movies I mentioned what other marvel films do people think was good?

Also do people legitimately like the 2nd wave films outside winter solider…keep in mind we’re talking about IM3 and Thor 2 here?

I liked Iron Man 3. Fake Mandarin and lack of armor didn’t bother me.

It wasn’t just the botched and insulting portraying of mandarin that bothered me. The movie as a whole didn’t do justice at all to extremis arc and the film felt like a bad attempt at action comedy were literally everything was a setup for a joke.

Iron Man 3 was good. All of the Iron Man movies are fun B movies with 200 Million Dollar budgets. They’re not trying to be like Nolan.

I found most of the comedy in Iron Man 3 funny. It was a entertaining film and it took Tony’s character where he needed to go. I can see why people would hate it but I don’t believe it’s a terrible movie by any means.

It wasnt good though.

What the film did to mandarin is on par with what batman forever did to its villains. In addition to completely botchering the extremis arc the film tried to force comedy into every scene…like literally everything was a gag of some kind. It isn’t just me who thinks this either the film was hated by a fair share of the public hence the 1-shot that tried desperately to save face.

No one here can intelligently defend that moves plot or it’s decision to turn tonys biggest into a joke.

Seems like you fanboys hate it just because it didn’t have the real Mandarian. Reminds me of people hating Alien 3 just because Hicks and Newt are killed off.

Anywho, if it makes you fanboys feel any better Marvel has been teasing that the “real” Mandarian will be a future threat.

Apply this logic with the joker and see if it simply qualifies as “fanboy.” Batman forever is that way mate.

Moreover it isn’t just his insulting portrayal as I stated. It was the grade school level comedy and slapstick, the butchered extemis adaptation, the stupidity of pepper having powers, the forced humour onto every line of dialogue, the annoying little boy who is clearly a proxy for the target audience, the bad villains, the stupidity of AIM’s origin and finally the fact that every scene was literally a setup for some type of gag.

Joel Schumacher would be proud.

If the movie was genuinely good (which Iron Man 3 was, not calling it an Oscar contender or anything, but it was a good and fun film) then I wouldn’t give a fuck if the Joker was ruined. I care about the film. I don’t care how the character is portrayed in other media.

Deadpool in Wolverine Origins was bad sure, but there really wasn’t much of a character in that film to get pissed off about. The movie itself was bad so it didn’t really matter.

ALSO I like the 89 Punisher with Dolph Lundgreen. It’s a fun 80’s action flick. I don’t give a fuck that he doesn’t wear a shirt with the skull symbol.

Stopped reading after this point…again batman and robin is over there.
