Batman/Superman movie announced for 2016

I remember a “What If” story in which someone (I think it may have been Daredevil) was able to improve Pete’s spider sense to the point where he knew if you were going to try some shit days in advance.

He didn’t know, he got lucky.

Don’t you know, bruh? This movie is for real hardcore comic book fans that already know things about superman. Explanations are for the filthy casual Marvel audience!!

I don’t know, Lex seems to know a lot of shit about a lot of shit. Maybe he read the comics?

I liked the theatrical version tbh. But I like any type of media where Batman beats the shit out of Superman. Will definitely give the extended version a look as its supposed to expand on things.

Also imo Affleck had the best portrayal of Bruce & Batman in a live action movie.

Why don’t you just check it out? I know I’m in the minority, but I think it’s a good movie, made better with the extra scenes.

Lead shields radiation and any one who ever remotely paid attention in H.S freshman science should know this. I don’t think it is beyond Lex, being a genius and all, to safeguard his plan with a trivial costing lead shielding just in case the alien is using x-rays to see through stuff.
Also, when you think about it, knowing that kryptonite radiation can harm kryptonian tissue than the lead shielding fits a radiation theme around superman. Radiation to destroy flesh, and lead shielding as a defense.

EDIT: About the batman armor.
You see Alfred engineering the suit in the beginning of the movie, maybe retrofitting it, repairing it, or something. We don’t know when exactly the suit was created or issued for creation. It’s not explained nor does it really have to be. Batman is building his suit in case he’ll have to fight superman. He does spend the majority of the movie tracking the location of kryptonite so that he could kill superman so maybe the suit was made recently for that end. I wouldn’t call it an effective anti-superman armor because Bruce doesn’t know superman’s upper limit strength. Also, the suit did prove useless without the aid of kryptonite gas to severely weaken superman or else Bruce would have been fucking toast

Just saw the movie. Wasnt as bad as people are saying it was, but still pretty meh… at the end of the day. At best, this movie is no more than a 5/10.

Those are some good theories you’ve got there. It’d be nice if the movie, y’know the thing that’s supposed provide you with information to tell a story, actually provided us with that info. Based on what I’m reading the film couldn’t be bothered to do so.

still better than Xmen Apoc. You know it’s true

Well yeah, radiation from kryptonite weakens him, yellow solar radiation strengthens him, red solar radiation neutralizes his powers, and lead can block radiation.

These have been used in different combinations of ways to help and hurt Superman.

So that’s not really an unknown factor, it’s just something that should be explained fairly well in the movies to other characters and indirectly to the audience who may not be savvy to these facts. This is a new continuity from old Superman movies and a shared universe that is supposed to last.

Establishing all these elements means really combing through for any potholes and logic leaps, and BvS screwed up in that area. Future movies can do a better job, but this and Green Lantern should be marked in DCEU history as reminders of what not to do with these characters and the source material they’re based on.

I think I need to explain what I was trying to say here better:

There are certain things that a movie, show etc. doesn’t have to tell you outright as long as it gives you enough clues to come to a logical conclusion. For example, the kryptonite. We know that Lex has Zod’s body so he probably did some experiments on it so he must have used kryp. in order to do so. Bats then steals it to use on Supes. How’d Bats know it was useful? Well he must have been monitoring Luthor for some time. That would make the most sense right? What that doesn’t explain is the led shielding for the bomb. Like Jena Malone’s character said the shielding reduce the effectiveness of the device. Why would Lex do that? He killed his assistant so he obviously gave no fucks about how many people died that day. So it must have been so Supes couldn’t see it. How does he know he wouldn’t be able to do so? Yeah he has Zod’s body but would an autopsy be able to reveal something like that? I’m thinking no. The film basically says, “The answer is 4.” Well what was the question? How’d you arrive at that value? Did you add 2 & 2 together? 1+1+1+1? 9-5? They didn’t show their work so for all we know the film “cheated.”

Did that make sense to anyone else? I swore it did inside my noggin.

Also who discovered/theorized what effect kryp. would have on Clark? What was their thought process? Was it something like, “I don’t know why this rock is glowing. Ehh, let me put it down near the dead extraterrestrial’s remains, poke around a bit and see what happens.”

I’ve got an extra digital code for the Ultimate Edition if anyone wants it.

Edit: It’s been given away.

I was dead @ Lex’s plan.
