Batman/Superman movie announced for 2016

Why?

I found the whole attitude of the Joker dark and brilliant, he was more real life villain to me than the majority. It wasn’t campy. I don’t mind campy comic book films but the way the plots twists happened in this movie and the way Joker was portrayed was just smart. People can talk all this shit as much as they want but this movie was highly praised for a real good reason. Some people need to get their geek shit out of here.

So, absolutely nothing to do with the title character, because Batman was bland as fuck in all three Nolan movies. Joker’s plan was ridiculously contrived in a very comic book fashion for a realistic take on it, regardless of how great Ledger’s performance was. People can love this movie as much as they want, but almost 8 years later the hype should’ve died down a bit. Some people need to get their Nolan boner out of here.

I dont think it’s out of the question that Wondy’s movie could outsell Antman 2 just based on name.

Antman 2 is a summer sequel to a surprisingly fun movie.

Wonder Woman’s movie coming out especially now could become a social event if marketed right. Even more so if the movie looks ANY GOOD AT ALL.

Like it or not people WANT her movie to be great. Really bad. So if this gives them any hope of that or if it even turns out decent despite Gal expect the hype levels to be insane!

WW is already an icon WB doesnt have to do as much hyping as Marvel does to sell their movies.

THIS. I’ve read comic books when I was a teenager and I don’t expect a lot of people to have read exactly the same as I did BUT I’d be surprised if anyone gave two shits about Iron Man before 2002 (pre movie hype essentially). Same with Captain America, like sure, everyone knows who Cap is but can you tell me there is more than 300 000 people that have actually read the comic books and can name like 4 villains? What Marvel has done, has done it by making good movies to a general audience. And I have to clap that, because if you had asked me 15 years ago about an Aquaman or L.E.G.I.O.N. movie I woulda said “no one is watching that”. Marvel is pulling everything out and most of their films are at least a commercial success (Guardians of the Galaxy really? I’m not shitting the movie btw, just saying who woulda thought “hey I reaally wanna see a GoG movie coming out soon”) whereas DC is at a point where even fans (like me or dumbass Po) are expecting a major fuck up with BIG NAME MOVIES (Supes, JLA, WW, Flash, etc). Imagine if right after TDK, there had been a Martian Hunter movie lol. Woulda been a disaster, both box office and quality wise. Only company more incompetent at doing comic book movies is Fox (ask about FF lol)

There is no Nolan boner, it hasn’t died down because it was that good. I don’t see how it is wrong to have the villain and the plot twists over shadow the hero itself, it’s not like batman was garbage in that movie anyway. It is just being judged as a whole not some small ridiculous nonsense such as “it had nothing to do with batman”… gtfo. The plot twists in this movie made you forget this was a comic book and almost something real in life. Stop being a hardcore nerd.

If there was no Nolan boner, DC wouldn’t try to make motherfucking Superman like they did. Nor they would’ve kept him around for a movie he has no business being tied with.

Batman not being interesting is a major fucking problem since '89. Begins is boring (IMO, even worse then being bad) as fuck outside the Joker teaser and had an even more contrived plan the TDK. And the less said about Rises, the better. TDK is a good ass movie, but people saying it transcends comic book movies as a whole is ludicrous. It’s just a good ass movie that is ashamed of being based on a comic. @Hawkingbird is completely on point on what he said.

I don’t even know how to reply to this lol… I’ll just stop replying.

The people who say that The Dark Knight series is one of the most intelligent comic book series seem, to me, like the kind of people who look for realism and parallelism with contemporary living. I’ve heard people say countless times that they like those movies because they are the nearest to realistic situations and plotlines that could happen in real life. Even with that in mind though, the movies are just as unrealistic as a group of high tech/superpowered people fighting aliens from a different universe. Let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that it’s realistic just because the hero and villains aren’t breaking every rule of science.

But on the topic of best Marvel Movie, I would say Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 2 beat out Winter Soldier.

Iron Man 2 sucked.

Mcu nerds need to go back to their thread tho

You should be glad people are talking in this thread at all, since it goes days without any activity.

We gonna go watch together? I figure we would since I’ll be Ubering your ass to take me to the theater.

Not all of us sit on here daily like you tho.

Sit in the front seat and blast country

A friend of mine pre-purchase tickets for a Thursday showing. Setting expectations to low.

Have you seen the BIGASS spoilers and leaked screenshot? If they’re true, the movie will be DOPE. Can’t wait to watch it.

Unfortunately I did. I shouldn’t have but I couldn’t resist. I was already hyped but now that hype level is thru the roof for me.

Saw the leaks… WTF?

My Iron-Man 2/Age of Ultron senses are tingling about this movie…
