Joss whedon wouldnt have allowed that scene any other way anyways, as to avoid criticisms similar to man of steel, from irrational man children who only like their superheroes when they dont face real life consequences for their actions while ultimately still saving the majorities lives.

Yes, I can take that leap of faith because they at least showed Tony run some scans. I am not that high and mighty that I need you to walk my hand through every little thing, so if you can show me a dude scanning for safety, I’m ok with that and I’ll trust you. Also, generally, most high rises under construction, don’t allow you to just walk right up to them. You know, safety concerns and all that.
Also with the amount of force Iron Man and Hulk were going at, straight down I might add, that building WOULD more than likely just implode in on itself, and just collapse inward and downward.

Ah the Captain Marvel episode where they took any bitchmadeness that Supes might’ve had, and then turned it all the way to MAXIMUM. And it was only for that one episode.
Darkseid was killed in an explosion, Brainiac (or a piece of him) was destroyed in the process as well. Lex tried to revive to regain Brainiac’s power, but accedentally revived Darkseid who was also infused with the power of Brainiac at the same time.
Did Superman try to kill Darkseid in the second major fight? Yeah he did, but it was more of a “mutually assured destruction” or “self-sacrifice” type of deal, not a full-on murder kind of situation.
