No. Hunter/Prey is when Doomsday ended up on Apokolips and gave Darkseid the beating of a life time. Also when Doomsday was permanently killed until hack writers decided to bring him back.
T. Ross is a more interesting character than Doomsday. He has an actual character, to begin with.
Hunter/Prey is the sorta followup to what happens after Reign of Supermen regarding Doomsday and (The?) Cyborg. It is also where his origin is explained and where a proper death to it was given.
