Well yeah, nobody would expect Superman to just witness the horrors of humanity 24 hours a day, but he kinda does that as a reporter already. Figured he should just chill and sit on his ass after fighting an alien armada or some shit.
But I guess being a reporter allows you to explain certain shit (like why you’re near restricted areas, or snooping, etc), and get access to certain info.
It’s exactly why he became one in the first place. Allows him to just dip into dangerous situations as Clark Kent with no one questioning it.
What a dumbass he could have just used the computer in the batcave to find out all that shit.

so i saw the title to the article but didnt read it. that this isnt a sequal to superman. is this not in continuity with the superman film at all? is superman a elseworld type situation?
This movie will suffer from Scryptonite. Superman will move normal speed versus Batman except when it counts. End credit scene he’ll point out he took it easy on Bruce, then proceed to rip Alfred in half.

That makes zero sense, they would have used different actors otherwise, yet we still have Cavill, Adams, Fishburne, Supes’ Earth mom etc. The trailer hints that timeline wise this is a fews years after the MoS events.
