A movie’s earning power isn’t based on how good it is. It’s based on prerelease factors.
The 3D and being an action movie released during a dead movie season is how Avatar managed to get that number.
Also helps that The Last Air Bender had a bunch of hype coming off the cartoon.
This movie will still financially do well, it’s a fucking Batman and Superman movie.

Dude, it was a small army, and they got abso-fucking-lutely overrun by literally every living thing on the planet that was mobile. And Navi were apparently uber athletic and powerful. I’d fuck a Navi for sure. Not that stupid cord thing, either.

Man of steel made almost a billion dollars, and it felt like ther was zero buzz for that movie. It took forever for trailers to start popping up, the hate was fairly strong on the internet, and i dont know, there didnt seem to be an air behind it like other comic book movies, or blockbusters, but yet, it mollywhopped the box office in sales.
I dont even keep up with all these latest tidbits that get you guys going crazy, cause whats the point. The movie will be fine. Man of steel was completely fine, except for amy adams falling away from a black hole.

Jimmy missed the part Superman killed a nigga and lured aliens away from remote areas to towns/cities etc to cause maximum causalities. Oh and he confides his whole life kept secret with a priest on a whim and let his father get killed over a fucking dog. 
Supermans killed before, its fine, and he had no technology to control zod anyways. Zod had to either die, or get sucked up into that blackhole. You think he can just toss zod in a prison? lol
Lured aliens away from remote areas? I dont even know what youre talking about. Zod and friends fought in smallville, and then they started the fight in metro. Superman fought basically where they dictated he fight. He did fly zod into small downtown smallville, but he isnt going to go to war with a superhuman alien in his mothers front yard where she can get hurt. Drag the leader away so his minions follow. Surprised they didnt just use his mother as leverage though. Small oversight.
That priest doesnt know clark kent from a hole in the wall, and supermans secret identity has always been fucking stupid anyways. He clearly looks the same as clark kent, as superman. That shit can be easily ignored, considering there are people in town who actually have seen clark do superhuman shit. I wouldnt be shocked if his identity is exposed in batman vs superman, cause there are a solid amount of people his secret.
I agree, that was some strange writing. I get his father didnt want clark to expose his secret, but he put clark in an impossible position trying to save a fucking dog in the first place. But i mean, that whole scene was dumb. Hiding under a bridge is some 1970s tornado logic. lol

to be honest that issue was very controversial. Some say Byrne did that on purpose because he was leaving the series. Some say he got peaced out because the direction the series were going (killing included). In any case, it hasn’t happened again (unless you count Doomsday - even though neither exactly “died”).
Back to the point, there was dumb stuff here and there on MoS but him killing Zod wasn’t a flagrant flaw imo. I really hope they don’t blow it with Luthor, as someone who actually read the comics through the 80s and 90s I liked Byrne’s approach better (corporate criminal) as opposed to the silver age maniac criminal or the campy movies’ version. I haven’t watched Smallville but I also dislike the idea of Luthor having anything to do with Smallville or Kent’s young years.
On an unrelated note, why is it so hard to write about Superman? Nigga is a journalist. Think. A journalist with superpowers. Can’t you write something about the bs that journalists see but can’t write about cuz someone from top is protecting someone or some shit like that and then he gets to rectify that on his own?
