I already knew they were making Batman RIP and it had to do with his demise. I didnt read any of those and thought this article was about how they ended that series I decided to skip

Hell, even if they had shown the body we know he’s not dead, it’s the comics. But especially if there is no body you know he’s not dead. He just snuck off to a safehouse or something to heal up.
This reeks so much of “me too” that it’s sickening. And to add insult to injury, the news article pointed out the Captain America “inspiration” at the end to boot.
Like Dwin said, it’s just a comic book. Killing Batman for realism’s sake is bad storytelling, period.

there is more to comics than spider-man and batman. There are tons of good titles without all the hype storylines.

the visual comedy of that scene would be hilarious. shit just have a few joke comics of superheroes standing in for batman…like the green arrow.

Also it hasn’t been stated that Bruce’s dead IIRC, but that Batman has been MiA since the conclusion of RiP.

Morrison fucked up his Batman run so hard he had to kill the character off. Shit is inconsistent and feels like he made up stories on the fly, while DC was trying to pimp him and his “ideas” off in 12 different books a month.
I actually liked the guys previous runs on New X-Men and JLA, but his recent DC tenure outside of Seven Soldiers has been underwhelming.

That’s an Ignorant thing to say since DC have attempt to ‘kill’ Batman back in the early 90s with Knightfall IIRC. …though kill wouldn’t be the appropriate word more like let someone else dawn the cowl as Batman.
There’s also the Death of Superman, and Hal Jordon turning into Parallax could be counted as killing off Hal.
There have been deaths of many comic characters, but often their deaths last for quite a while.
