Looks like you might be able to interrogate thugs. Dangling the guy over the edge of a building. Might be better detective work aside from follow the breadcrumbs with that picture of bullet trajectories. Love the new designs for thugs, not just the same old 4 from earlier. Even looks like they can use anything as weapons (chairs, fire extinguishers, etc) instead of just pipes and guns. New moves to take out multiple thungs at once (cracking their heads together). Batman and Catwoman’s relationship has always been complicated. She’s never just a criminal or just a love interest. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if a) she wasn’t truly the main villain (some other motives) and b) she’s the co-op partner. The addition of Robin will make me cry or at least vomit a lot. NML type of thing going on with various villains forming gangs and taking territory. Probably be able to track who owns what as the game changes and progresses, just like in the comic.
If not Catwoman I would rather have Cassidy Cain, but the going on the game’s demo that’s been played. It looks like a sidekick won’t be involved, because Batman never mentioned any of them and he didn’t have one with him. Doesn’t he usually work closely with his partners? I do like Harley’s new outfit.

If the game is an exact clone of AA with nothing new but the story and levels, I’d still buy it first day.
Wow. When game studios can make CGI like this, why can’t they produce feature length films as well? Imagine all of the live action video game movies that could’ve been so much better as CGI movies.

Edit: I remember my favorite riddler story was from BTAS. It was the one where Batman and Robin get stuck in a digital game and when they win in the end Riddlers stuck in the game in a coma like Gordon was at the beginning of the story. I could see having to play a Riddler game as a boss fight and when you win he’s all mentally fried like that when you win. That would be neat.

They going to account for the weather too? I’m a little skeptical about this but it’d be really cool. Especially since I’ll be playing through this game many, many times.
No one ever really dies in the comic book world. That goes double for notable villains.
Riddler is back in AC but a little different. Detective Mode will show certain thugs in green, indicating that he works for the Riddler. Interrogating him (aka scaring the shit out of him, such as holding the guy by the neck over a building like in the trailer) will reveal the secrets on the map, much like the Riddler maps left around AS. Pretty glad they’re doing away with that, it didn’t make any sense.

I still have a lot of reservations in terms of the choice of locale this game has gone with, though. A lot of what made Arkham Asylum so awesome was the atmosphere, and the enclosed location definitely helped with that.
I’m not sure how easy that’s going to be to emulate in a more open, city environment. I really hope they do their best to stay away from a sandbox formula.
