Catwoman ain’t got nothin on Talia al Ghul. Seriously, I applaud the man who came up with her Arkham City design.
This isn’t AC related, but I figured AA is pretty related to the topic. I’ve always hated the GOTY cover for the PS3, so I did someting about it if anyone is interested.

I didn’t come up with the concept of the cover, found it on a google search but can’t seem to track it down again to give credit where it’s due, but I remade it to suit my needs. Both images are clickable links to the png file.
That’s sick…can you make a 360 one?
Yeah, he’s kinda always had that relationship with Robin. Sure, he took him under his wing, but he always wanted him to kinda just provide backup when necessary. I think the only person he gives a shit about helping him is Oracle, and that’s cuz her crippled ass is stuck in a chair in the Watchtower.
Been playing challenge maps in AA more and more. It’s pretty engaging once you start to get better and mess around with the way you can manipulate enemies for kicks. So they’re growing on me. I feel like finishing more riddles to unlock more of them. My previous opinion is changing. I really want to play Robin. I’ll wait until his DLC is available before getting AC. Been watching a lot of his videos and how he looks and fights is the most interesting to me. I mean Robin never looked “badass” to me before but in AC he looks like a beast that longs to cut loose and wreck everything in sight. The fact that he doesn’t talk makes it seem even more like that. I really favor his look in AC over the comics.
Yeah, I like it. He really looks like somebody who wants to avenge his family, but is being held back by Batdick.
I haven’t tried any of the predator/challenge/whatever maps, due to lending my copy of AC out to my buddy. I really wanted to try some of the Predator maps though
Does anyone think that Rocksteady could do this type of game with other superheroes? I heard word from someone that they were planning to do one for Superman. Not sure if I should believe it.
Edit: Googled it. Nope
having a slight problem.
im playing NG+, and i cant get the last random act of violence to start. i flew end to end in the city several times, and nothing
Thanks dood.
I had the same problem (saw the body, but no prompt came up). You just have to play some more. I waited until I finished the story.
While I think the riddler trinkets are cool, I think they are about 100 over what I can stand. I am at 342 and I want to claw my eyes out.
In the game Batman is obviously the best fighter because of all the gadgets and options. Disarming guns and crushing a car door make my dick hard everytime. Freeze Blast once the combo counter hits 12 is damn near OP. And when there’s a lull in a fight and someone has a gun, he can drop a smoke bomb, fuck everybody up, watch everybody fuck themselves up and not lose his combo counter
I think the 2nd best is Robin. He can disarm people but he does it differently. Unlike Nightwing or Catwoman, he can save his own ass without needing the combo counter to 5+ with the prox mine. Everything Dick and Selina has, Robin has and I like better. He’s a little sluggish to control at first, but you get used to it. The shield smash is really good and underrated. And unlike Catwoman or Nightwing, he can get up close and disarm a car door guy by placing a bomb on the car door (and giving me a heck of a boner when I explode that bitch).
Catwoman kinda suffers from not having a lot of weapons but it’s understandable. Caltrops help IMMENSELY. It’s her only way to disarm the guys with the car doors with combo counter not at 12+. The Whip disarm doesn’t really work that well because more often than not, the guys with guns/shock sticks will just sidestep it. But I have gotten my highest challenge room score with her because she’s so agile, quick, and with her acrobatics she’s hard to hit.
Nightwing kinda perplexes me. Unless his combo counter is at 12+ he can’t disarm the really tough weapon holders like the other 3. The escrima stick shot is good but it has WAAAAAAAAAY too much recovery time. He’s fast but I thought he’d have more gadgets and variety.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
The toughest guys to fight are the dudes with car doors. I try to make them priority number 1 to eliminate. Unless the counter is at 12 or they’re by themselves, Nigthwing and Catwoman can’t deal with them. Batman and Robin can. After them it’s the shock stick guys but a somerault-to-the-back and hit at least put them gets rid of their weapon. Armored thugs gets unblockables and I take them out either first or after the car door dudes. They’re a big problem for Catwoman if she doesn’t have room for caltrops. I haven’t really found anything Nightwing can do to handle them either except unblockable counter them.
,
I finished up the Riddler secrets this weekend, and I kind of thought it was weird how it all went down at the end.
Riddler stuff
Spoiler
I had been taking the Riddler secrets out by area, with the Steel Mill being the last place to clear. I was surprised when after grabbing the first Riddler Trophy, that I get a call from Oracle telling me where Riddler’s hideout is. I don’t know exactly how many Trophy’s/Riddles/Challenges I had left, but it was most of the Steel Mill, and about 3 physical challenges (sweet Jesus is it hard to get people to hit each other using the electric gun), so I’d say somewhere between 350-375/400.
I was right near the Steel Mill exit, so I decide to go get the Riddler. I figure I’ll save the hostages, but Riddler will get away and I can nab him once I have all the secrets. Nope. I get to the hideout, and it’s another Deadshot/Zsasz style sneak up on him and do a fancy takedown fight. Riddler side mission complete.
I then finish off the rest of the Riddler Secrets, wondering what happens when I get them all. The answer: NOTHING. No trophy, no special unlock, no acknowledgement from the game at all. It really annoyed me. At least I had a few Catwoman trophies left to collect, and finishing those off at least gave me a trophy…
i disagree slightly with you swordsman about catwoman/nightwing. i have completed all the riddlers revenge for all 3 of my characters and personally the shield guys aren’t a problem for cat or nightwing, just do the stun > jump attack on them. when used against enemies with shields you can’t be hit out of the animation so it’s a good way to survey the situation and plan your next move, and while it doesn’t get rid of the shield for good, it buys you time with i-frames.
where i think cat struggles is against titan thugs, she can’t do rodeo so she remains vulnerable even after staggering them. only saving grace is her stun (whip) has a huge hitting range and is pretty damn fast.
I enjoyed finding the Riddler stuff and figuring out the trickier trophies, but I do agree there’s too much. And on NG+ the core story / gameplay feels a lot more underwhelming when you can run straight through it without getting distracted by riddles and combat achievements. I hope the next game integrates this aspect better (maybe even eliminate the Riddler angle and just make them clues for a bigger mission or something). I like unlocking the challenges, but I know lazier gamers will never get around to getting enough trophies to enjoy. I don’t think that’s a smart move for Rocksteady.
random: I really wish I could’ve have done a beatdown on the Riddler. Next game needs to have a room where I can go back and just wail on villians lol.
I think Catwoman’s only downside is her health (not that it really matters). She’s so fast that I never worry that I’m not going to hit a thug in time and have to evade to a better position, which I can’t say the same for Robin. I don’t find titans and lieutenants with anyone that difficult since you can rinse and repeat attack into group stun before anyone approaches.
Oh I found a glitch with Robin - if you attempt a throw an armed enemy in freeflow focus mode, he goes through the animation but doesn’t grab them. Looks like he’s doing tai chi lol.
So with you on that. I don’t mind if it unlocks stuff, but to grab a trinket for the sake of amusing my cerebral cortex is MADNESS! Some of the more puzzle devised ones were ok, but I think it is just too many. The 100 that could be left out are quite easily the ones that are a quick grab.
By the way Remonster, I played the Nightwing expansion. I like his moves and execution for the most part. I can see where people may think that his rhythm is off. He’s faster than Batman, but slower than Catwoman. At times it just feels “weird”. The disarm isnt as big of a draw (unless you are used to the ability) as I thought, but I did keep dropping my multiplier a lot due to this. All in all, not a bad add on, but only for those that long for different challenge experiences.
Yeah, I was wrong that Batman was faster. I was just too used to Batman and knowing the priority and range of his moves. Nightwing and Robin still give me the “Oh…computer chose to do that move…okay.” but still enjoyable when I’m not going for a high score. No disarm isn’t so bad, but it’s nice that Robin has that “option select” when you forget it’s not there.
Nightwing is definitely for the predator enthusiasts. I found his campaigns the hardest and also the most passive (setting up 3x gadget takedown, aiming headshots, line launcher, etc). Secret passages in Wayne Manor are the shit though heh.
thats part of the problem. i finished the story. im done with everything else
You’re probably at the wrong body.
