There are tons of great Batman Villains that would be just as good in the Spotlight as Joker is.
yeah one villain comes to mind is HUSH. or maybe twoface.
i would like to see if there was a third game to be all of GOTHAM and finally be able to drive around in the BATMOBILE! a la GTA style.
or be able to switch from Bruce to BMAN on certain missions.
and maybe a cameo from some of the other DC heroes or some refferrences to them.
Has DC established an Earth for the Arkham series? I’ve stopped paying attention to DC comics the past couple of years, I’m not even sure how many different Earths DC has now after the reboot.
Man, I am pissed. So I played the Joker’s Carnival challenge map again, without being signed in into PSN. Once I logged in, it updated the boards with the lower score. Guess that drives me to do better. Glad I got pics LOL
I didn’t get the Joker Carnival challenge map. I preordered mine from BB. I REALLY want the endless battle challenge. In AA the endless one sucked because of those stupid little alien thingies. I didn’t want to fight those things because you couldn’t punch/kick them.
But if there aren’t any of those lame little dudes, them I’m SO all for it.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
So I’m the only one who likes Robin? I’m the only one who likes putting a bomb on on the back of those faggots with the shield? And then waiting until he turns red to attack and then activating it? Come on guys… he’s got the Matrix pole dance for a triple counter!
[spoiler=Batman 3]Talia can get resurrected like her Dad possibly. Hell, she could make an interesting villain, given that she knows Bruce’s alter ego, and she is in love with him, and Lazarus pits make you insane. Lazarus Pits + PMS is unimaginable.
Also, you have TONS of other weird characters who could come in. Vandall Savage, for instance, would be a good fit in a Batman game. I also agree, they need more DC crossovers if possible. I ain’t saying Supes should show up, but having to fight him would be hella fun. Or Deathstroke.
Hell, is Joker even dead???[/details]
As for the next game, villains hint at it too after you beat the game. All the hoods and crooks will say shit like “whats next, Arkham World”. But I guess a full Batman GTA kinda game would be next. Allow us to drive the Batmobile (and maybe even Batcycle and Bat Plane), have a full Batcave for us to explore, as well as Wayne Manor.
[spoiler=batman]I don’t think Ra’s is crazy, just misunderstood. Driving the batmobile and plane sounds like fun. The bosses this time around were a lot more fun and unique. Out of them all I enjoyed fighting Mr. Freeze the most. Did that fight remind anyone else of The Fury boss fight in MGS3? I loved both of those, but in both games they were too easy. This one was probably a little easier since you didn’t have to worry about walking into flames. I wish it could’ve been just a bit more difficult as I prefer to die at least once in a boss fight.
Yeah, no crazies on this go round. Very taxing but rewarding at the sametime.
Found this. There are some interesting theories/speculations.
That was a great read!
My take on a sequel after reading this
[details=Spoiler] Bludhaven might play a role but a clean 50/50 split is a bit much. It’s not that exciting of a place. After looking at a map of Gotham I can see the game being split into four areas. Three of them for Gotham and one for just Bludhaven OR Bludhaven has specific mission style levels to take on.
I really do think that Joker and Batman will ‘team’ up to get the job done at some point. I don’t think that the Joker will be behind the destruction of Gotham but I think that that will interfere with his own plans and his need to keep Batman alive.
I knew that Jack Ryder was familiar too and his other persona wasn’t even mentioned in the game. With shit hitting the fan the Creeper has to come out.
I think that integrating more heroes to play as as well as co-operative help (as hinted at when you and Bane team-up against Tyger) either with CPU help in the story will be killer. I can see a full on Co-Op mini-story mode or challenge maps for sure too. Imagine doing detective work with Robin or taking out thugs with Nightwing. It could work like cases in LA Noire. Little missions to play with a pal that fit within or separately from the main story line.
And this guy didn’t even mention how much damage Poison Ivy could cause in the future. She’s still got a ton of control over her plants and might just be biding her time. She sounded deadly serious when Catwoman revisits her.
No matter which story route Rocksteady takes I trust them to make the right decisions (like scaling back the number of riddler trophies to collect. Too fucking many bunched up together). I stand firm in hoping that this ends up on the next generation of consoles. A new console with Unreal Engine 4 to exploit.
I think my only fear is missing out on bat vehicles again. I think if you base it off my three ‘areas’ idea highways and caves and the skies could link these areas. I mean the point of his vehicles is to get around from point to point and not so much to joy ride like it’s a Rockstar game. If they design wide roads to hold a batmobile and clear narrow alleys for a batcycle it could be cool. It could work like in LA Noire when it comes to driving. You could set the car to auto-pilot to a point on the map if it can get there and dialogue or calls for help or other story bits can go on in the background. If you want to take back over driving just tap a button. Getting the bat jet would be the last vehicle you get to use as it 'll let you dive down from anywhere. Loading times could be handled for those in between areas where the water’s edges are. Shit, a Batsub could come into play too with the sewer system. [/details]
^If you go back to the church after you’ve beaten Riddler and…
Spoiler
saved Sharp and Vicki Vale, they will be there. Talk to each one of them to get both of Sharp’s interview tapes. Vale mentions Creeper and Huntress.
There’s a pic floating around of the Batcave DLC.
How the eff does a developer cram this much into a game?! I await to hear of unpaid bonus checks real soon.
If anyone bought the collector’s edition and needs some cover art:

If anyone wants a 360 version, I can do it Tuesday, just let me know.
So in effort to combat the leaderboard error, I just went to beast it again. Now I am 10th. Funny thing was that my last score actually dropped to 21st. The challenge really isn’t that hard, it’s just being aware of the surrounding and what enemy has what weapon.
Took me a little math to figure out what all counted towards that 100% on the main screen. Apparently NG+ does and Batman’s Challenge maps do as well, but none of the DLC stuff does (thankfully). I’m at about 90% now after doing all of Batman’s challenges and getting through most of NG+, just gotta finish the story. Currently back at Wonder Tower.
Side Note: TAS Nightwing >>> AC Nightwing
Is there any difference between the ps3 and xbox versions? I would have searched but I don’t want the game spoiled for me.
There is no difference.
I’ll take 360 covers Kitsune.
Aight thanks, I copped the sexbox version. Currently playing a friends copy of AA for ps3.
this game is much better to me in NG+ after collecting all the trophies and challenges.
i can pay more attention to the story, and feel more attatched to the game without looking for trinkets
not to say that they are a bad thing. they do keep you playing for a few extra hours
