Just curious: Who’s banned in the KOF series of games and why?

I’m guessing it’s mostly boss characters/ROB characters, I don’t know of any regular characters that are banned.

Console is where people will practice and increase skill and by next year there will be tons of competiton in this game. maybe but i doubt it, there could be some room for a little improvement in some tactics, and some other things, but the high level players already got near to the deal with the game, and you are wrong, is on the arcades with competition where the people increase their skill, sure you can say that you cant practice on arcades and whatever, but as i said, you only get better playing against people, and many high level players do that on the arcades, no in the consoles playing it online.

A lot of the high level players don’t play on arcade either, they are having house parties now. They play the console version with all their friends, sharing tips. Give it time. A lot of 3s players didn’t start playing till SFIV came to console, they didn’t touch it in the arcade…

AFAIK, bosses are banned in Armageddon and Trilogy and some guys ban Noob and Rain in Trilogy.

MK has(or had) a decent scene here in NJ. Id assume Noob Saibot is banned, he’s the ST Akuma of MK. Dont think you can pick him in the arcade version, though. Same with Kahn and Kintaro.

I just saw a video by Dark Geese showing why Nightmare Geese in KOF2002UM needed to be banned – my goodness, 4 air fireballs!

I don’t know much about MK, however the topic of banned characters interests me … I’m interested to find out who is banned and why… but can’t always find that information on google.
