Most i’ve seen pick Akuma, or Ken. And then they start to verbally abuse me on mic and then I stop playing, put the stick down, and take a shower. Makes me feel durty.
I’m Filipino, so my skin color is closer to black than it is to white, so that’s why I pick Balrog.

seriously though, i doubt if 70% black people play balrog on sf4 as their main.
i never played sf4 but i played every other sf game,and from my experiences from being at arcades and playing friends on home consoles, a large majority of black players use ken as their main. should be the same in sf4 too. ken seems to be the iconic characters to use,and hes definitly the most popular shoto.

I’m white and i usually play balrog in remix, mainly because I like a good rushdown. Same reason why i use akuma in 3s.
Maybe it’s the rushdown potential that’s appealing to black dudes?
