I’ve said this on other threads but by jove I’m sticking to it. Juri’s LK Senpusha should’ve been left alone. It’s only real use is to finish a chain safely since it’s not damaging, doesn’t lead to bigger combos, isn’t a safe move to try to tag out on nor switch cancel on, and inflicts negligent chip damage.

I wish more people had played Rufus in SF4, definitely a character that needed over saturation so the community would have stopped crying about divekicks in 2009, and not still bitching in 2012. Jesus Christ.

Divekicks aren’t a problem, Dive kicks with a giant arsenal of other bullshit like a command throw, a teleport, a projectile, and easy ass hit confirms into damage, that’s something to cry about. >.>

Agreed. Divekicks arent really a problem. Divekicks with too much frame advantage are though. I think Akumas is a nice example of how divekicks should work.

True, I know it isn’t anything exactly knew – just feel bringing it back after adding other tools to his game was a bit much. Especially considering the treatment other characters recieved like Chun’s LK Hasanshu no longer considered an Overhead, when the Hasanshu is an important part of her game – this change has hurt her up close offensive/mix up abilities.

it was the logic behind it, you implied that it’s ok because it’s been around since SF2.
I didn’t say dive kicks were a bad thing, but just because something has been around for awhile doesn’t deem it a good thing. I don’t think bugs and glitches are a good thing(especially if they are game breaking) but they been for a long time.

Christ almighty… Ryu this, Ryu that… There are more important things that need fixed in this series other than Ryu. The thing is by getting so much exposure to him (specially online) he will start to get easier and easier to read/predict. Now RAVEN on the other hand… May have one too many pluses that need to be examined.

Raven, Chun, Poison, before I go on, are we strictly talking SFXT here?

Common sense tells me that rufus will be +4 after a minimum height divekick is blocked rather than -4. No aerial moves leave you at minus frames and the way it’s worded they’re talking about the disadvantage for the blocker.

Yun and Yang divekicks are at minus frames on block iirc.
