Hello, I will be running sets at my house at Saturdays in Tubli. Everyone and anyone is welcome starting from this Saturday. The sessions will be run from 5 PM to 9 PM with so far 2 TVs with 2 PS3s, and 2 Laptops. We’ll be running 2 setups of UMVC3 and SSF4AE to start with but are open to expanding to other games. I’m looking to set up a more unified Bahrain fighting game community and looking to play more people and expand our scene overall. So please if you are interested contact me or come by!
If you are looking for some good AE/UMVC3 competition you are all welcome. Bring your own controllers, I have motioninjoy drivers for PC(allows PS3 controllers) and PS2 to PC/PS3 USB adapters.

I’m from Bahrain myself and speak fluent English since I go to St. Christophers school. I’ve been playing a lot of CPS2/2D Capcom fighters on emulators and the PS2 for more than over a year now. I’ve recently gotten into hardcore and competitive play and want to challenge more people. I downloaded GGPO the other day but there’s some sort of problem with my connection so I can’t actually play against anyone online >.< No idea how to configure it, guess I have to stick with Kaillera.
I also have played a lot of fighters in my younger days but I really didn’t know how to combo or input back then…
I own a lot of official PSX/PS2 fighters including Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 2. I’m a big fan of the Darkstalkers series so I usually main Morrigan in the crossover games.
Does anyone know where I can buy USB port Arcade sticks or do I have to order them? I really want this.
GGPO works pretty well and doesn’t take time to set up, there are some Gulf Area players that play 3rd Strike/ KoF 98 on it the last time I checked. For Arcade sticks most game stores in Bahrain have the wireless hori stick (http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Wireless-Fighting-Stick-3-Playstation/dp/B0035N6KQ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352648403&sr=8-1&keywords=hori wireless), and a few have the Hori UMVC3 Stick(http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Ultimate-Marvel-Capcom-Arcade/dp/B0061YFZH2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1352648414&sr=8-4&keywords=hori marvel vs capcom). There are a lot of players that play AE online around here( I personally hate online), and you are welcome to my house where I run mainly Marvel/SF4 sessions on PS3, but I do have basically every fighting game from the NeoGeo/CPS2/CPS3 era through " legal methods" and most of the current gen ones. So if you are interested you are welcome over.
I need help with GGPO, it’s that error where when you start an online match the game doesn’t start at all and stays as the black screen with the GGPO logo. Perhaps its something to do with my router? I’m clueless here.
I probably won’t be able to order anything for now since I’m just a 15 year old with no credit card. Don’t think I can get anyone to pay for me either.
I’d love to go and play a fighter with someone offline, I COULD come over but then again I might not be able to. Do you run some sort of gaming place at your house?
I’m not sure what your problem is, you might want to check somewhere else, do you have the proper rom set? Did you install it properly. I don’t run a gaming place but I invite people over to come and play.
I have ALL CPS2 roms so it’s probably due to connection.
Might as well try coming over some time in the future even though I kinda feel awkward coming over to a strangers house , could you PM me details?
