Ive heard mixed reviews about how marvel runs on 360 can anybody confirm?
I can confirm Marvel vs Capcom 2 runs like crap.
Massive sprite glitching and slowdown
MvC2 running like crap? Who’d have thought it possible?
But apox on anyone who requested MvC2 over CvS2.
But yeah, at least they frickin brought over NHL 2k5. Because people still FUCKIN PLAY THAT.
Time to email MS and petition them for fixes.
excuse me but theres a small cult dedicated to nhl 2k5, we play nightly.
thanks.
So with this new update did SF3 get fixed or is it still slow cause i’m about to pick up a used version of this game at eb
sent my email in
i hope they get it going, itd be a plus for them hopefully, maybe theyll get a couple new xbl customers because of it.
I want the Midway Arcade Treasures, Midway Arcade Treasures 2 & 3 BC on the Xbox 360
I hope they fix MvC2 on the 360
You guys had the games for the 128-bit systems, right? Why not just…um, KEEP those systems, and you won’t have to bitch about this topic? Is someone forcing you guys to ditch your ps2s and xboxes?
Yeah, just sent off my email.
Odd that they’ve decided to make Guilty Gear XX and 3rd Strike BC, but have yet to do so for Cap vs SNK 2. Hopefully this game will become BC with the 360 soon, I’ve been dying to play it.
my original xbox broke. and ps2 users might have just bought a 360 and want it for the online play.
It’s been said before but not everyone can run out and buy a brand new (or used for that matter) Xbox 360 without trading some of their older consoles and games in.
Nice going though with the awesome assumptions!
Why wouldn’t we want our games to be BC? Even if we had an unlimited supply of older Xbox1s and PS2s, we’d want these games to work on our X360s so we can enjoy them with custom soundtracks, enhanced graphics, and ease of use of not needing a bunch of legacy hardware hooked up to our TVs.
Anyway, we still need:
Added to the compat list:
Capcom vs SNK 2
Capcom Classics Collection 1 and 2
Samurai Shodown 5
Metal Slug 3
Fixed:
Street Fighter 3 (SFAC): Slowdown issues and sprite glitching
Marvel vs Capcom 2: Slowdown issues and sprite glitching
Silent Hill 2: Save game bug, texture glitching
Email backcomp@microsoft.com and ask for fixes!
During Holiday 2006 at GameStop, if you traded in n XBOX console toward a 360 premium purchase, they chopped $80 off the system, threw in a free copy of GRAW, gave you an extended warranty, and a one year subscription to Game Informer. I traded my XBOX in with 85(yes, 85, I whored out my employee discount and clearance powers at Circuit City) total used XBOX/PS2 games and other accessories and stuff that had credit value. And the extra 10% I got from my Edge card went a long way.
I turned a $590 purchase(I bought GoW too) into $174(yes, $174) and some change.
Most people that buy these systems(teenagers and young adults) have to trade in their old systems to chop off chunks of the price. And even if you could afford to spend all that cash, would you honestly want to if you able to save at least half? And like many people, I dont have enormous faith in the BC schedule. I kept 10 XBOX games I cared about from that trade in, and only two made it on there so far (SFAC, OutRun2). I dont have much faith, espically with a long wait between BC updates. I traded in the other eight after clinging onto them since December.
I was wondering about marvel for the 360… I saw it on youtube and it looked horrible… i figured it was from it being on youtube… but then my friend confirmed this by tellin me it was like that on his as well… I personally wouldnt mind being able to play mvc2 on 360… is it at all possible for it to be online capable? or would they have to remake the game? just curious
LMAO:clap:
Cvs2 :barf:
yawn… both work fine on my PS3… I’m set.
cool! put it on, see you online
Guys:
With the 40 GB PS3 being announced tomorrow and the all but confirmed fact that this new PS3 revision does not play PS2 games, it’s more important than ever we keep emailing MS and letting them know that BC is important to us, and that we really want them to add the remaining games we are asking for and make sure they work properly.
It’s fairly obvious the 360 BC project exists because Microsoft felt that with the PS3 providing perfect BC, it would make the 360 look like less of a value compared to the PS3. With Sony now removing the last bits of the PS2 hardware (the GS chip) from the newest version of the PS3 likely to be unveiled tomorrow, and the retailer reports floating around that Sony does NOT have a PS2 software emulation solution ready for these new machines, it’s possible MS will decide that the BC project for X360 is not necessary and abandon the effort.
X360 BC has come a long way since the 360 has launched, and in many ways we’re in the final lap here. SF Anniversary Collection is so close to being perfect and yet so far away, with the game breaking slowdown and the annoying sprite glitching and sound reverb bugs, and Marvel vs Capcom 2 - a game that probably never broke 20,000 units sold - added to the list and now on MS’s list of known BC games with issues.
We just need them fixed and a couple more games added - Capcom vs SNK 2 uses the same engine as Marvel vs Capcom 2, so odds are good that if MvC2 can get fixed, CvS2 can be added quickly and correctly too.
We need to send MS emails at backcomp@microsoft.com and tell them we want them to fix SFAC and MvC2, add CvS2 and make it work right, as well as the SNK fighters and Capcom Classics Collection 1 and 2.
