B15SDM DESIGNS Vewlix Custom Arcade Cabinet with Work Log

I would go with number 1, as the ‘teal’ lines would go very nicely with the rest of the cabinet. An idea would be to darken the grey behind them. (Another option would be to take the Vewlix and immediately switch from the red colour to the teal, and then make slight adjustments from there).

Number 2 is a good option too.

I would definately NOT go for either 3 or 4, for 2 principle reasons:

  1. The whole skull thing is quite common (obvious)

  2. The rest of the cabinet is looking very classy, and to add the skull would sort of cheapen the look. The skull has an immature quality to it aswell.

The simpler, cleaner look would do the rest of the cabinet much greater justice. (Perhaps changing the clouded grey to a block/cleaner colour look too).

Just my 2 cents though, in the end just go with what you like the best.

How are those 13 stick customs coming along? Any more pics of those (pwease)? I imagine that even after those 13 sticks are done and out of the door, you must have another batch of order already waiting.

It’s not like it’s just a random skull

shadaloo in the house

I’d still go for 2, its nice and clean looking, but out of 3 and 4 no.3 wins.

Another vote for #2.

#2 or #4.

I say #2 or #4

  1. I would be biased with the Shadalooness of 3, but meeeh I like 2. Simplicity is good.

I guess I’ll be the only one to say #3.

I’d vote #3 also, even most others think it’s cheap
Even cheaper: make the skull wider and put the 2 start buttons in the eye globes, one for each globe :))))

I would go with number 2 and instead of using a shadoloo emblem, I’d come up with a cool version of your B15SDM logo. I know you have it in the corner but I’d take it out of there and put it in the middle. I think it deserves it! I’d make the logo almost look 3D as if it has some sort of depth, almost like a metal badge or patch.

Lefty makes a good point, the logo in the middle would be icing on the awesome cake.

Thanks everyone, its good to know that most of you said 2 & 4 as that is what I was planning on.

I agree the middle of the panel looks quite empty without a logo so thats why I experimented with the shadaloo logo. Although putting my logo would be a good idea, I didnt want to plaster my logo all over the cabinet and wanted to keep it as a small detail, hence why I put a small version of it in the corner and there will be another one on the top panel (middle of teal speaker panel). I may have no.2 for the seimitsu panel and no.4 for the sanwa panel.

I will try my logo as a metal panel/badge to see how it looks and will post it up soon.

Even though the look of the entire build is very smooth and silky the overall look of the machine will be quite agressive and urban with the help of some minor details. One of which being the steel frame for the cabinet. I was going to have a highly polised stainless steel finish but instead I am going for a brushed metal finish. Thats why I thought it might be a good idea to have the shadaloo logo.

The whole damn thing is ready to be bolted together and I jussssst need to get my hands on the steel frame and I can put this thing together. So you may all of a sudden see the finished photos of the cabinet popping up some time soon.

Another vote for#2. Looking really great so far b15.

#2 or #4, now leaning towards 4 with your previous comments in mind.

Seconded.

Why not try out the B15 logo? Since this is a custom, wouldn’t you want your mark on there?

sweet jesus b15, this is awesome, awesome, awesome work. Much Respect homie.

Fucking nice looking work, man. You should post this up on BYOAC also.

I really wished I could use photoshop better because I seriously need to learn how to make templates like that. Is there an easy walkthrough somewhere? I’d love to have a badass design for the Vewlix I’m working on.

Also, love your paintjobs.

He’s waiting to add the laser light projector to the top that flashes “B15” on the ceiling while he plays.

Okay, I managed to spend some more time on this today while I waited for the paint to dry one some of the customs im working on.

I finally got the artwork finalised and printed and started some of the assembly of the control panel. I think this final design is much more succesful, it gives it that clean uncluttered look.

I still need to wire this up at some point and add the led behind the opal acrylic panel.

I will be fitting the side panels to the control panel soon.
