Amazing work B15! makes my generic cab refurb look like a pile of plop!!!

Hey,
I thought that was a nice retro cab refurb. I remeber seeing it posted not too long ago.
I just spent some more time on the cabinet while my custom stick orders receive some of their paint coats. I need to utilise my time as best as I can as I need to finish it asap.
Painted the back panel of the base unit the same colour as the teal I used on the upper panel. This was just a standard colour mixed and applied with roller.
I also gave the side panels and the control panel platform a few coats of primer.
i can’t wait to see the end result.
this is fucking amazing
Anymore updates B15?
B15, why you so good at making arcade machines and sticks?
Because he has the hands of an Arcade God!
Heres a quick update on the build. I cant really progress any further until I get the frame fabricated from my friend. I will hopefully have it by This weekend.
In the mean time I have started to give the side panels a few coats of high gloss white.
I have also given the platform which will act as the support for the control panel a few coats of grey aswell.
I also fitted the 4mm acrylic sheets to the doors to the base unit.
Just so you know I am working on 13 custom stick orders aswell so the cabinet is coming second now as the remaining parts/materials have arrived for these and I need to get them finished.
Yer a busy man! :bgrin: Super work!

Nice workshop
Thanks, I only use this area to build cases and spray them. All assembly and wiring is done in my home office area.
I soooo badly want to finish this as I cant wait to fire it up and play on it.
i hear ya on that B15, Do yourself a favor and don’t make it playable until the VERY END. Otherwise you may not finish it… I’ve been there before, a couple times
Trust me I know that playing on it before its complete will definately be this projects downfall and probably remain incomplete.
Everything is pretty much painted and everything is ready to be bolted together so there is very little chance of me slipping.
what system are you putting in it?
I havent decided yet, I have both ps3 & 360 but cant decide. I may just throw the 360 in there as I want to use it to play online as that was the main reason for buying one. I think the 360 network has ALOT more players on there, I seem to run into the same players all the time on the ps3.
With everything being HDMI these days couldn’t you set it up to be swappable?
Well in all fairness I could have both systems in there but for the mean time I was thinking of just running a 360 in there. The reason I dont want to use my ps3 is because I use oon my other tv for blue ray movies. I think when funds allow I may just get a ps3 slim and dump it in there aswell.
Could I ask if you use any sort of wax or anything after you paint to make the paint more resistant?
The paint I use has a high solid acrylic content which gives it a much greater scratch resistant surface than off the shelf acrylic spray paints.
