If anyone is interested I have a ps360 for sale for $50, never used.

Ed, yeah first reports were from last wnf stream, where justin wong and floe both said the same thing. It happened to me several times last night(yesterday was the first time I noticed it happening to me). But then again, i hadnt really played post patch until saturday, hardcore. I wonder if its random, where if it happens, restart the xbox and game, and maybe it goes away completely, until you boot up the console next time, where it may come back. Just a wild guess

could jus be via XBL… XBL has been pure shyt lately

I didnt see anything was to too in the moment to notice

I didn’t notice any freezing/stuttering in any of the matches I saw all night, but as you said, they were all fat 360s.

Xbl wont affect that. This was training mode. Besides xbl doesnt affect netplay either. Its a peer to peer connection. Xbl is just a matchmaking service when it comes to online games. It solely relies on the players connections with eachother

Mike, just pm’d you

i got a new 360 and i have yet to see the freeze happen at home

Hmm. I wonder wth it is. Its a very brief pause that lasts maybe 10 frames. But it seems random, some people get it, some people dont

i have a slim i haven’t experienced it either. 100% of my time since update has been on practice mode fyi.

my friend has the PS3 version, played it yesterday and no changes. Can’t speak about the 360 one since my game is still unpatched.

well crap, this kinda blows. ill play again for a little bit tonight and see if it happens more. you will definitely know if it happens, its very obvious. everything freezes, even your inputs are shut out. so if it happens in the middle of a combo, good luck trying to keep it going heh

I would love to give you my input but the few matches I did get were horrible and I can’t even get people on my friends list into a lobby unless I make it public and tell them to join it before someone else does. The online has been so bad that I have been playing SSF4 instead

Go go terrible MvC3 matchmaking!

god damn i was looking at the cali wednesday night fights and a bunch of popular players including duey, pgorath may quit playing since they’re charging 8 dollars to enter and 6 dollar venue fee each time. pretty steep to lose to justin weekly imo. like i can understand 10 dollars every week but i hear they’re raising this to 16 dollars a week now, crazy. if you play both sf4 and mvc then it’s 120 dollars every month. might as well quit and do crack, probably cheaper.

This is in regards to OFFLINE. Not online

I played a little last night, and. It didn’t happen. I didn’t play long tho. I dunno wth is going on. But i know it does happen heh

Battle247.com - COD Black Ops, Halo Reach, & more - Online Video Game Competition

Winner goes to revelation, FO FREE!

I dont play that garbage =(

Are you referring to baytle247, scott? This is for ssfiv, mvc3, and bbcs. I know the hyperlink doesn’t state that.

Oh haha, yeah on a cell phone so i didnt click the link. Nevermind =)

Yeah. I can see that assumption. Ha ha my bad.

I’m going to participate, but only for ssfiv.

In regards to the Euphoria tournament:

SSFIV:
I’m sorry but this tournament was an entire joke as soon as I saw and played a bit on the TVs. There were a few people who still actively played SSFIV and wanted to prove that they weren’t rusty at that tournament, but you took that all away from the players with the terrible excuses for set ups. I don’t understand, how hard can it be for people to do light research to discover how this game handles lag? Anything at all.
I incredibly regret my entree to this tournament, and would of never joined had I known this, and another item: brackets. What kind of BS is this? you didn’t even mix them up. If people didn’t know, a portion of the brackets were done according to the sign ups. If you signed up to the tournament, you were either playing the guy that paid before you or the guy after you. This is unacceptable. Tagged team with the fact that you were running this off a notebook with a pencil and a lot of erasing… quality was just poor. Huge mistake to even enter this side of the event.

MVC3:
Fortunately, the laggy set ups on the MVC3 weren’t as bad as the SSFIV ones. There was still lag, especially on the bigger TV on the right but since the game isn’t like SSFIV the tournament wasn’t bad overall. Very bearable. I have no idea how the brackets were ran on this one, but I assume they followed a similar situation, also having paper and pencil. For the most part matches were played accordingly. Despite the fact that we **only had 2 set ups **to run this entire thing, there was still about 4 - 5 times where one station was not being played on for more than a few minutes. I had to keep looking for the bracket dude to tell him the station was empty and to put another match in there. I really shouldn’t have needed to do that. It doesn’t bother me but I feel like you guys weren’t on top of it. Also, the final payout was weird. I asked how much it was to first and second, and the numbers I was given were off. Basic math noted it was waaay off for how many entries they had. Don’t know if they ever got the amount they were suppose to, but I know they did get more than what I was told.

Lessons to learn here:

Get good set ups for fighting games. Remember that they are very lag sensitive so not just “any monitor I have” can be used for tournament play.

Perfect how you run the tournament. It is a 2 man effort, where 1 maintains the bracket (hopefully on a laptop… cleaner more professional) and 1 maintains that all stations and players are playing and reporting their wins and losses

Reach out if you don’t have it. Tell us the truth as to what you really have, and the community will help you out. This community specifically is so well-equipped to run things, and also so use to traveling that it would not have been an issue. I personally could of brought a lag-free set up, the person I gave a ride has a full evo set up he takes to tournaments. 10 minutes of our time would of saved us 8 hours of hassle and a sour taste in our mouths.

Speak to the community about mistakes and what your going to do to correct them.
This one isn’t really something to take from this specific tournament, but is something that has to be announced for you to regain public trust in not having your reputation brought down. Personally, and this is just me, but I really don’t plan to go to another Euphoria event without some of these things addressed.

Props:
I really liked that it was 10 dollars, way more than normal on the line. More money, is more pressure, is more competitive atmosphere.

The venue was amazing. Really really fun to be there with all the comics and stuff. We ARE playing a marvel vs… game, so seeing the characters that are in the game on the walls and in comics was really friggin fun.

The seats in the back were pretty comfortable.
