if they really wanted to tone down sentinel they would’ve taken away hyper armor on launch and cut down damage on attacks. The health hit isn’t too bad, its still almost 1mil lol. I still don’t see people abusing sentinel alpha counter into hard drive yet. That shit will kill 2 characters if the opponent is not careful. I hope the mvc3 staff doesn’t get to soft and just nerf everything because of a bunch of cry baby ass gamers. Sentinel will still be good but a nerf this early is pretty silly.
nerf on sentinel is straight up bullshit… fuckin cry babies whinning til they get their fucking way, if they kept ‘fixing’ problems in this game I will stop playing it… balance patch my ass, if capcom release another patch or nerf on ae Ill fuckin stop playin that shit too…

While I might agree with those nerfs Aaron, it would go against the current design philosophy of fighting games(making them more accessible). What makes sentinel so easy to use is landing 1 lucky hit into death with as little dexterity as possible. You nerf his damage, you make him much harder to win with for scrubs since they have to get lucky more.
The nerfs they added now, while a little excessive(on paper), still allow scrubs to get a lucky hit and still win. And for the vets, they can still get big kills while playing good defense. I really don’t think these changes will affect him that much.
having been a longtime WoW player, I’m not shocked at all at what people have been saying. It’s the same kind of stuff people say whenever we get a patch on WoW and actually it’s worse over there lol!
Sent nerf was done to bring him in-line with all the other characters in the game. He can dish out a ton of damage but having that advantage brings with it a risk. With the previous health pool, matches with him were lop-sided because you really had to work to kill him but in the blink of an eye, he can turn things around on you.
Sentinel post patch now has the same risk as if you played characters such as Zero, Wolverine, etc. He has about 100k more health than those characters and he does the same damage as before, so it’s not all bad.
that play and trade tournament is such a joke. it’s suppose to be a national thing and it says only default characters allowed. really???
5 dollars to enter if preregister and 10 dollars to enter at the door. if you get first nationally you get some 1000 dollar package to fly to comic con? terrible prizes, i expect no less from play n trade.

Luey, its not that bad buddy. It’s just a stamina nerf(the additional stuff Rick posted eariler is false). So basically he has almost normal health(1mil health is actually above the standard). It’s not gonna make a crapton of a difference. Just can’t be lazy on defense and careless with drone assist spam.
I rather they patch early than later. The longer something lingers, people will less likely accept the change as much. I rather clear it early before its a major staple. Its better than just letting it become mvc2 all over again and only allowing 4 characters to be truly playable.

okay than im alittle relieved if the stuff rick posted is false, still though I think patching games to “balancing” them is still bullshit, if a game is “broken” or unfair then just dont play it. However I do agreed that if a game is to be patched it should happen as quickly as possible so the games “brokenness” does not become accepted. Justifying what is broken and what should be patch is still a huge gray area though.
