I don’t know if the sentinel nerf was needed, but I think it was still funny as fuck and I am not complaining. He’s about as squishy as viper now haha. And the only people I see complaining about it are the ones that use him on their team too. I mean it makes sense, but if you guys are really that pissed, just add tron instead. Bitch is almost as good.

Same thing happens in games like wow, people cry because their character gets nerfed and OP. I would rather get patches then not. Especially the way games are rushed these days. Developers aren’t given the time to balance the game. I agree with Scott, you just gotta be safer when you play. He still does a ton of damage. I like how people are justifying the nerf because the say Sentinels are easy to kill in the comic and tv show.
I think it was Wong that said on the stream, they should just patch in a option to let you turn off X factor like items in Smash Bros. X factor is still really broken. I would like to see what the game is like with out it.

still think its a little much, yes he deals massive damage, but guess what every single character in this game can kill in this game some just take a little more button presses then other, if you practice them enogh you can land them too. And yes hyper armor s is an easy way to land the big dmg, but you know its coming so why run into it? bait that shit out and take your 1 minute time frame to punish that slow ass recovery. Saying there is no risk playin sent is crazy, the guy is so easy to hit, the damn hitbox takes half the screen thats the risk sent players take, its so easy to hit him, so easy to bait him, and if they play a somewhat decent run away game/zoning game its extremly hard to win (like against amartsu (sp) ) but whatever it is what it is and complaing wont get me anywhere, oh wait maybe it will 
Yeah some people have to hit more buttons to get the same damage. And once you practice them, it doesn’t matter since its 2nd nature for them to land it in all opportunities that allow it. The problem is that it blurs the line between shit play and a strong player. I dont like the fact that a shit player can get a lucky hit and do 3 button presses that takes 2 minutes to practice and potentially win. Whereas, i had to spend a lot of practice time to get the same type of damage with a taskmaster combo. On top of that, i cant just be anywhere on the screen to land this damage, i cant get this damage from hitting you air to air, this requires me to be on ground, as opposed to sentinel where he can land it anywhere he is and anywhere the opponent is, without much practice.
My beef is, a shitty scrub who doesnt put in work can get some wins vs a person who has to put in time to learn their characters. That’s where my problem lies. A crap player should never win, even randomly. It’s an insult to the player that actually puts the effort in, only to randomly lose to a lucky S attack. While its still true that it can happen, crap players have garbage defense so their chances of getting lucky wins is greatly crippled as opposed to a good players chances of winning is barely crippled when using sent.
Bottom line, imo, it only cripples the scrubs that are “fake” good. Good players can still dominate with him. Just no more lazy sloppy defense. Stamina isn’t as big of a deal in this game except for like 3 characters. Considering like a 1/4th or less of the cast are actually at 1000health or above
Sent still does to much damage for being so easy to do so. Hulk does a shit ton of damage as does hagger. but those characters are so easy to keep away from u.
The way i see it is, sent is trouble for people who are mid level at this game. if you are a top player and know your shit, sent isnt a big deal.This is prolly the reason why he got nerfed, because so many mid level players complained about it. After all Capcom is trying to hit that market so they make more money, so they are going to cater to those people

Oh and lucky hits? what about 1 lucky wolverine dive kick landing into death, it will always build a meter and usually ends up being DHC into that characters death. Or how about one lucky teleport, or why we are at it one UNlucky assist call. This game is who can stay away from the other players bullshit longer then they can stay away from yours and setting up traps for them to fall into it.
If your going to make the game ‘Less scrub friendly’ well i guess we should make Magneto disruptor slow, take away lei lei gold assit, make arthur projectile spam useless, take away dooms hidden missles, take away chun lis lightning leg hit box of death, cap tron combos to 10 seconds (that bitch is retarded some times), anyone with a teleport take that away, no more dive kicks that are completly safe and lead to 100%, haggar pipe and assist is too good so lets get rid of that, oh doramamu does to much chip, hulk armor on fierce is annonying so lets get rid of that, taskmaster arrows do way to much damage, amaratsu shouldnt be able to land 100 fierce in a combo, spencer super should be slowed down. You see where im going with this? Just becuase you dont like sent because you feel its ‘too easy’ doesnt justify a nerf, all that means is you have a problem with that character and need to work on punishing his slow ass moves and huge hitbox. The problem wasnt one character being ‘easy’ to land damage the problem is this game is NOT a street fighter, its marvel which means its full of bs and tricks and its about who has the better tricks and who can stay away from the opponents. Oh and who remembers back in MvC2 when ICEMAN was BROKEN! lol I think we are a little to quick to judge.
This is a stupid argument and I will never win against so many ‘anti’ sentinels, good players will always stand ahead of the bad players even if they use sentinel, last time I checked all the top tournaments have shown that skill will always come out on top, shit even Floe used sentinel at the last wed night fights and LOST. Its like saying a player mashing DP will get wins he/she doesnt derserve, sure they will but you learn to punish the bad player for those habits, just like punishing a player for relying on S with sent.

I don’t really think anyone is wrong. Every side has valid points. My opinion is that, even with his damage nerf, he is still going to be incredibly effective as long as xfactor is involved.
It’s not just non sentinel players rejoicing. Some sentinel players are rejoicing too. And of course, vice versa. No one is really right or wrong.
To me, I feel, if I had to be scared to face a scrub using sentinel or a scrub using anyone else, id be more scared of a scrub using sentinel. I only view this whole thing when its in the hands of a scrub. That’s just my personal opinion and the feeling I get when I play the game.
Not a big deal to me about the sent nerf. Now all the sents I play against won’t have to watch me rape them as long and when I play sent myself people will lose just as quickly because I don’t get hit anyways.

is it just me, or does sentinel’s red life recover faster when tagged out now?
that’s because he has less life so it will recover faster. its the same life regen rate its just that the bar is now representing a smaller number so it appears to be faster, at least thats what I think.
