Well I can’t do ANY dash cancel combos online. Although to be fair, I’ve only tried Cage and Kitana combos and they require more strict dash canceling than Kung Lao, so I may be able to do his (still kind of doubt it).
You may already know this, but you only have to buy the $10 pass if you bought the game second hand or ripped. If you got it new, it comes packaged with the pass.

I tried some regular (out of state) matches and I can see what you mean. Execution is noticeably more difficult and I was getting hit with stuff I would never get hit with offline. No I wasn’t able to do Kung Lao’s Xray dash combo as the 2nd dash 2,4 didn’t land whatsoever.
Playing local people online is the way to go, I still haven’t had any problems. I am totally sure that you wouldn’t either.
Yeah I already know. Now that the 360 is on it’s last legs I’m going to work on getting both a 360/PS3 and a copy of Marvel and MK for each, plus a stick for the PS3. Ugh that’s already a ton of money
Is NRS even going to attempt fixing the netcode for this game? Seriously it’s freaking awful. I thought MVC3 was bad. NRS isn’t saying anything at all as to what or when they plan on doing anything. As much as I want to play this game, I feel totally ripped off at this point. It is like we got half a game. Online is freaking nearly uplayable and the training mode sucks nuts through a straw. NRS needs to open their mouths and say something, this is absurd.
You can’t invite people to a room?! holy shit… that is retarded as hell. I was hoping you could make an AZ room and invite AZ MK players and have all kinds of fun. Ha… AE will drop shortly and I don’t doubt it will pick up again really heavily. Sucks for MK. It’s a fun game too.

Thanks,haz, for allowing me to contribute to the stream with some commentary. I had fun overall. If given another opportunity to get on the mic, I’d mainly focus on the action being played instead of the comments from the stream.

Yeah. Apparently haz is setting up some really good things involving tucson players and us locals for thursday. It sounded really good, but I’d want haz to confirm this since it wasn’t set in stone.
BRINK is pure awesome once you get past the lobby and graphical issues. Never seen a game so well design to make people work as a team. They have no choice since there is NO K/D ratio or accuracy and gay stats like that. It gives you experience the more you play as a team.
It’s a buff circle jerk but it’s awesome. I mean I was trying to stop the other team from escorting the prisoner. So I used an engineer picked an objective to fix turrets and when I fixed it, I sat on there shooting down the other team preventing them from escorting that fucker. Meanwhile my team is giving me health buff, armor buff and weapons buff. It was le ausome!
Takes a while to get used to due to graphics and level design.

And it makes sense, it’s a great idea that is not implemented perfectly. You see the single player campaign is actually the multiplayer, which in itself is great and bad. Good thing is that since this is not a solo game it allows you to play with random folks to play the campaign and not just ai bots.
I think that is what confuses them the most. Single player and Multiplayer are integrated into one, and that goes against the status quo.
Another thing is the lobby system. On console there is none for some reason, so you have to start a campaign, pick a mission and once loaded send an invite. It worked fine with me and my bro last night. But not sure what to do with 3 or 4 people trying to get on the same team.
In reality the most disappointing thing is the graphics. With the use of the new ID engine and having those texture issues is a slap to the face. Lets put it this way, on games that use the Unreal Engine like Gears of War 2 when a match started you could see the textures load. In Unreal it does it at the beginning, well the ID engine is doing it on the fly. So when you switch guns you can see the textures of the gun change 4 times and then change again and you see the same thing. You can see this over and over.
So with that in mind imagine running around a stage. From a distance it’s blurry and the closer you get the more detailed it get, but instead of being a smooth transition it’s like pop pop pop.
Another thing that bothers me and I’m not sure if it’s because of this whole low res to high res changes is the field of view. It seems hazy.
Also the tattoo or scar design being permanent seems silly.
Don’t get me wrong this game has tons of bad shit going on, but it has its good points as well. I think personally I can deal with it, graphic whores not so much.
I was super excited for Brink, but now I’m waiting to see how everything pans out before buying it.
I LOVED Enemy Territory and still played it regularly up until a few years ago. It’s the only game I was ever part of a serious clan for. The best part of that game was if you had even 2 people who were really skilled at their specific roles and knew how to work together (like covert ops + engineer), the 2 of you could beat an entire team by yourselves.
