This is the most dumbest thing I’ve read all day. Balance is bad? Bugfixes are bad? The hell? If you can’t handle patches then stop playing the game then. Neither Cap nor Amaterasu needed the infinite. If you were doing a snapback during the middle of Sougenmu you are terrible. If you cannot adapt to doing a snapback at the end of Sougenmu you’re terrible. The hit stun fix and infinite removal did not affect Cap’s BnB in any way.
My friend’s PS3 got the patch when we started the game and I didn’t check for what changed. A friend of mine posted on Facebook saying the infinite was gone and that was it. Used Team Avengers and did his BnB like I always have. The patches are good. They even posted patch notes like the ones we get on MMO’s which is great. People complained about not having patch notes and on patch #2, they corrected the problem. I’m actually shocked AND pleased that Capcom is making an effort to polish the game and tend to it’s fans.

For the $700 you’ll be receiving the cabinet which has a working monitor and speakers with a full Sega Model 3 wiring harness. All the screens have slight burn in but blame it on Sega for not having flashing icons on their games. Anyone interested PM me.
Patches suck… but that is only because now I need to pull out all those damn Xboxes and update them by tomorrow… just when I thought I was all ready to go for the weekend.
I consider it that they show a vested interest in the game and its continued success… would you rather they drop the game and run away for 10 years, because they can do that shite again.
Besides, with each new patch comes the potential that something else gets effed up, maybe even worse! - so test it out.
I love how they blatantly disregard the big screw ups like Phoenix but I really could care less - just play the game. hahahahaha.
Oh Crap! I forgot to mention… did you see the friggin Scorpion statues that we are giving away at the Mortal Kombat launch Monday?! Damn thing is bigger than me… wait, that is not saying much.
Ok so dealing with a broken game, is better than patching in fixes. That’s stupid, just because old fighters were like that doesn’t mean the new fighters have to be. So far the patches in mvc3 aren’t game altering, it doesn’t change the fundamental game play nor the play of the characters they are altered. I could understand your point if they are drastically changing game play but they aren’t.
I also think mvc2 would have been a better game if the could have patched and fixed most the game so most of the cast was relevant. Marvel didn’t last 10 years because it was such a great game, it lasted 10 years because the VS series along with other fighters were ignored for 10 years.
The way developers rush games these days, I can fully understand how glitches and exploits get in the game that were never meant to be in them. I have no problem with them patching them out. Fighters are always evolving, now part of the evolution includes patches.
I think its stupid to say we put a broken game deal with it even though there is technology that could make it better.

Ya know. Id normally say fuck gameworks. But gl ignores us just as much as they ignore their cabs. Gw has 2 setups, and have been good on keeping their shit working. plus we can drink, and they are receptive to us and want us to do this. I think we can pull off a really good event there, imo.

The LK buttons on both cabinets are in really bad shape at MGL. However, I work with someone who is close friends with one of the MGL techs. I’ll see if I can get him to talk to the MGL tech so we can get the cabinet back into shape.

lots of pad warriors today wow…louie got skrulled, but during casuals so it doesnt mean a thing, and I played like crap during the tourney, but did pretty well in casuals…go figure.
Hope to see alot of you out at the ranbats tomorrow, i know its a hike for some of you, but most of us here have traveled far to play, so it shouldngt be anything were not used to.
And rick, Id support the GW tournies whenever I could, but I’ll be honest and say theres no way I can make them all, Ive got a pretty full plate tourney wise this summer as is, and theres only so much family time I can put aside for games, so ill go to any i can for sure, Im itching for some more AE since super is pretty much dead to me these days…no yang = fail.
ninja edit Seriously Rick? were you in the lot behind the store? I had a PS3 and my ASUS monitor in horacios car…and i think the window was cracked even, and nothing was touched, but he was parked accross the street and not behind it. Thats a shame
