patches blow hands down, no need for them in this game. people arent stupid they know if they use the zero glitch they get banned for tournament play and as far as online goes who cares its ONLINE and online for marvel sucks anyway. Capcom needs to focus on fixing the absolutely shitty online experience and worry less about “balancing”. The more they patch the more capcom will ruin the game. Cap infinite was not worthless, and as far as sitting through an infinite, which wasnt that easy to do anyway, everyother combo in the game should be nerfed then as well. Patches are for idiots no ifs, ands, or buts about it…
Scott I really dont understand why your taking capcoms side on this matter. Most posts you make are FOR patching but way back when in the good old days of fighters, patches where basically nonexistent and you got along just fine. You learned to deal with the situation at hand and win regardless of the “brokenness” of the game. How would you feel if they re released alpha 3 and started nerfin shit cuz scrubs started bitchin left and right about custom combos…? Same shit here. As a vet in the scene Im completely surprised your for any type of patch at all…

Who is interested in a Street Fighter 4 AE tournament/ranbat? I have a chance to actually do this but it requires enough interest, if you think you would be interested and would enter please pm me so I can get a somewhat expectation of entries.
This is a big opportunity to get ready for the AE patch in June and get ahead of the game for the upcoming majors, also a side note these tournaments will most likely have MvC3 as a tournament game as well during the same day. So again please pm if you would be interested, thanks!

I agree and don’t think any of this is groundbreaking. As for Zero snapping out while powered up, you would have to realize that Sougenmu lasts for like maybe 5 seconds and by the time you snapped out Phoenix and she comes out it’s going to disappear.

I am in talks with GameWorks at the moment yes. This was the big surprise I was hoping to have for everyone, there would a tech on staff the entire time I am there and the venue cost will also keep the machines in free play all day so you can still play after the tournament is over (which I think is a great deal).
With the prelim talks it would be a $10 entry with GW getting $5 to cover the costs of their machines not generating income that day, but again the machines would be on free play so the venue cost for you would be covered after playing 5 games if you think about it.
I for one think its a great way to get some AE practice going and would be awesome to get the arcade tournament vibe again. But for this to make sense financially I need enough interest otherwise I can be out money out of my own pocket (which I am willing to do to try this, but would like to keep the damage as low as possible 
)
