Is MK still happening? I thought there was talk of replacing MK with BB?

To echo carn114, a big part of it (for me, at least) is just a lack of general experience with dealing with pressure. Muji and Rick were basically telling me “more low forward,” but it is a bit intimidating given the range of Sakura’s cr.mk. Tthe reason I didn’t ask any questions, even though I considered it, is because I was pretty confident in independently finding my way around things, even if it just ended up with just getting tatsu’d in the corner all day.
Also, I was the guy playing Yang. Shouts out to the random kid playing Evil Ryu with the umeshoryu. Definitely going to Haz’s next weekend, MS Store today hopefully.

I know this may be a stupid question, but will it be worth it to drive out to the Microsoft Store tourney if I’m not planning on entering the events? And also, what’s the turnout usually like for things like that?

Stupid question, why would you not enter the tourneys? It’s free. That makes absolutely no sense
Because I just started playing last month and I don’t think I’m anywhere near good enough to try. Also don’t have a 360 stick and my PS3 one’s not dual modded.

I wasn’t anywhere near EVO, and I got sick this week. Damn looks like EVO is causing the scene to blow up, good stuff, hope we can keep even 20% of the new guys playing. I haven’t been out this week to play at all, but what Scott says is true: The best way to learn is just to play no matter what and no matter who; also, the best way to get keep getting better is to get your ass beat. It may not make sense at first, but your own skill level raises as you try to figure out what beats someone better than you.
i plan on staying, but it depends on my ability to get my hands on the equipment needed and how much free time i’ll have that i can dedicate to SF. what goes down regularly in tempe again? i know i asked this in the old thread, but i’m not in the mood to look for it right now.

Man, I was NOT on my game tonight; it was my first tournament (And it probably showed) so I was hella nervous. I choked about five or six times on the dumbest things. Anyway, congrats to the Honda that won. I’m new to the scene, so I don’t know his name.
