Like I said I’d rather have it at a public venue. I’ve never liked the idea of having it at someone’s house. As cool as haz and Annie are with it, I still prefer neutral public places for various reasons. That and Arnul wouldn’t be banned. I totally agree with you.

Bottom line tho, I hope this is just one huge misunderstanding/overreaction on both sides and the 2 of them will kiss and make up. I’m still kinda baffled by all this

I’m also in favor for UAT, it’s much more difficult to get rides to someone’s house for me, especially when we don’t know the person too well. So public places are easier for me to get rides to and on top of that it’s way closer and better than driving over an hour to Laveen just to lose. :V

I really didnt wanna say anything, but I see legitimate issues here that I would like to address, and possibly resolve.

#1-haz has every right to ban/boot somebody from his house, fucking A. its his house,his rules, dont like it? gtfo
#2-this is a community based event, like it or not, arnul IS a member of our community. He’s banned from his house, but not banned from the tournament.

this raises other legitimate concerns.

move the venue? sure, seems like an easy fix right? well, why would haz want to MOVE all the streaming stuff,drive 30 minutes, and still have to set everything up early,then pack it all up after its over, risk damaging/losing anything AND be doing it all just so the guy he just banned from his house can go? seems like alot of extra work for the guy who is essentially doing it all so the person he just banned from his home can play. that just seems rather unrealistic to me, as well as selfish to expect him to do it.

Now, im not gonna talk about whos right or wrong here, cause frankly i feel like there has to be more to this than arnuls SRK post fueled by his last appearance at hazs, and i dont want to get involved other than to resolve potential issues it can cause community based, as this is about OUR community.

So, I have a potential solution, if both parties will agree.

I say we do what we do best around here, and duke it the fuck out. I say we stream it, make it a first to 10, and slap some stakes on it. these are just some ideas, but possibly, if haz wins, arnul will have to play for the REST of the year, on ANY stream, as bitch_ass_arnul, dunno. and if arnul wins, maybe haz will allow him back in?

personally, I hate seeing things like this happen, ultimately it needs to be resolved, and what better way than to fight it out, cause there is no real solution to this problem other than that. This is a great example of why arcades and or public venues are always optimal for this type of event, but I must say i’m very grateful for haz and annies contributions and allowing us into their home. tournaments/casuals are great, but for a community driven season based event, we really shouldn’t be limiting anybody.

It’s not about how convenient it is for haz to lug his shit around because we’ve been doing this shit way before he came into the picture, I remember Reece would bring his cam and record the matches at my place and ranbats also where ever he went as well. If haz really cared about the community he would bring his equipment anyways and I’m sure people would help him with that!

Has took a personal conversation about him to heart instead of reflecting and thinking about what I’ve said to him he did the next thing a coward would do is to try and oust me because he’s scared of the stuff I know and what will be said. So he took damage control and went to Facebook to get the dickriders approval and sympathy for my ban.

Haz is shady as fuck, and he was about our community but it somehow got distorted and is doing it for all the wrong reasons now.

It’s ashamed some of you won’t come forward and acknowledge the shady things he’s done but I understand where he gots you at this point!

You had a great point, why would he move everything? Leave/Setup early? Etc? My reason for suggesting venue change was for multiple reasons. First, a potential solution to the conflict. Second, ease of access for some added members in the community to create a larger variety of player styles/potential for higher turnout. Lastly, because the season is almost over and a change is better to be started now (if it were to happen) than mid season. I say this because the kinks could be worked out tech wise prior to the new season, and this would allow for the previously stated as well. Just my input on the matter, but again I don’t really know the situation from conflict, tech, location, and other standpoints. I also wouldn’t want to lug around all of my gear early and late from an event so that is an understandable counter argument for sure.

In all seriousness “we” haven’t been lugging the type of shit he carries, because he has far more equipment. A HUGE HEAVY tower, 2 monitors (stream + commentators), a soundboard, microphones, headsets, mouse+keyboard, master hdmi switches and ALL of the cables in between. I can absolutely guarantee that transporting it is a nightmare and its not just if he’d dedicated or not. This takes real time and definitely more than one person. Your set up and Reece with his pocket cam and stand don’t compare. Neither does my set ups that I bring.

I also don’t want to get too involved but this comparison was quite incorrect.

I like to think chairs where being flung around. Makes this debate more interesting and since I donated money for the stream I believe I’m entitled to know all the juicy chair throwing details in detail with memes, pix, vids and soundboards. No exceptions!

In regards to UAT, there is only one place that could really hold us and that’s the double room. Outside of that UAT literally has nothing else that they rent out bigger than that. Since its just one, you can imagine that tons of clubs take it all the time. Look at keith. He has a tournament every two to three weeks and even then he has to settle for the awfully cramped side room. The fact is thankfully we are a growing community with a ton of new people and with the size we currently have we could not use UAT without a backup plan on case its booked that week (and it usually is.).

Oh, also we can’t bring alcohol :frowning:

Since people are looking for venues, please think of the following:

-Needs a TON of power outlets
-We need a stable and decent internet connection with good upload speeds
-We need to be able to fit 75 comfortably. On our busiest we had over 60.
-We need to be able to stay there as long as it takes. Nothing absolute because sometimes things just run slower. It happens.
-It needs to be close to the majority of us and as accessible as possible.

If this place is a business keep electricity and venue fees in mind. It may be alot.
