knowing soul calibur. something rears its ugly head and ruins the game. i think sc5 looks pretty good. i like the inclusion of endless stages, as i thought ringouts were always a terrible idea in soul calibur due to a lot of insanely high launch moves and the stupid air control system… looks ok so far, but im weary

This option-select block/jump thing seems potentially serious, but Namco supposedly already knows about it so there may be a patch on the way at some point.
I’ve been watching Maximilian’s SC5 videos, and the player match lobbies look amazing. All fighting games need to copy that model.
Soul Calibur 5 seems pretty interesting. I bought SC4 and played it casually to tide me over until SF4 came out. I kinda want to do the same thing with SC5, except to keep me busy until SFxT comes out. I like the create a character stuff, that seems fun!
and my point arises. that sounds really really stupid. but it may be nothing.

Good games to everybody at Super marvel madness, I think it was a good event.
On the Marvel note, I think this tournament was one of the best we’ve had in terms of play.
I really wish this was all recorded because Winners, Losers, and Grand finals were amazing sets.

Sf4 won’t die until a proper sf replaces it, atleast. Sfxt is definitely not a sf replacement
It’s nothing. Namco knew about it before this video and a patch is coming (not the launch patch), but even if it wasn’t going to be patched, it wouldn’t have a big impact on competitive play. I can actually put you in a frame trap if you use this on me.
or simply go into a low on purpose, and punish the jump before they land with a B attack. i dont feel like its an issue either.
Given there isn’t going to be an arcade release of SFxT in Japan, I am inclined to agree.
