This is Travis from Axis Gaming, and were proud to announce
that we are going to be hosting our first tournament!

When: Saturday, May 10th 2008, Approx 1:30pm Door Open Time, Tournaments Start at 3pm
and Pickup Games will go all day into the night. (tons of fun stuff to play)

Where: The Grange Hall, 743 Diablo Rd. Danville CA 94526

Games: Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike (PS2), MvC2 (DC), CvS2 (PS2)

1st Place: $500 and a Custom Arcade Stick by Axis Gaming
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100

my old dj crew used to throw partys at the grange back in the day. we’d charge $10 a head and we’d max the place out and walk out with a few g’s. pretty much if you were a teen in danville and wanted to throw a party that was pretty much the spot. out in the boonies so you could get buckwild. hella cheap to rent out too back then , like $200 something after getting the deposit back.

kinda funny to think of it now as a place to hold a tourney but it definitely is big enough and even has a stage from what i remember so you could do some projector shenanigans for the finals.

but yeah man, good luck with this.

Now that you mention that, I wonder if there will be a strict curfew with this tournament.

Granted it isn’t the same amount of noise level, but the community had a big problem with concerts at the Grange. For a long time shows got shut down (then eventually banned) because there was too much noise and (most likely) the kids were too rowdy outside.

The Grange is like 2-3 arm lengths away from a bunch of houses, so hopefully this all goes on without a hitch.
