Awesome 7-11 Anodized Aluminum Shaft Covers Tutorial

Would it be possible to get any of these shaft covers in the uk?

looking for someone to purchase and ship me a full set (they don’t carry them in cleveland as far as i can tell) email/pm me with price if you’re willing to hook me up.

I got a full set and cant really use them since I use a LS-32, not willing to go to JLF just for a cool shaft cover.

I’ll keep them around just incase I find a use for them later on, my 7-11 still had a full box of them the other day.

I’d pay a few bucks for a black straw from last year, if anyone happens to have one lying around… and perhaps a couple bucks more if it’s pre-cut! Yeah, I’m lazy like that.

Hey Godspu found some ebay listings for em. hope this helps. ALUMINUM SLURPEE STRAWS 7 ELEVEN items - Get great deals on Collectibles items on eBay.com!

How’d you manage to print on the shaft cover?

I can attest for this seller:

NEW 6-DIFFREN 7-ELEVEN ALUMINUM SLURPEE STRAWS STRAW - eBay (item 260611951038 end time Jul-29-10 18:12:48 PDT)

I actually forgot to change my ebay shipping address before I bought off him, and then he sent them to the wrong address. After talking to him, he simply sent out another pack for free to the correct address, and since the new house-owners were nice enough to forward me the package, I now have 4 sets of all colors, 24 straws in total. :> If you’re gonna buy, do it off him. You won’t regret it.

Thanks for posting this, I saw the shaft covers in the post your stick thread and I was really lusting after one of my own.

i tried to make the shaft cover… and i only can use the top part that says slurpee… i cant use the bottom part where the warning is at… it doesnt fit the TE stick JLF…

LOL, use a tiny file or dremel to de-burr the metal left overs.

ok kool ill try that… i noticed with out dremeling the tubing… u only can use the top and the bottom of the metal straw… with out modding…

Pregnant wife had a craving for a slurpee on my way home from work today so I picked up some straws =] But they didn’t charge me for the 10 straws I set on the counter with the slurpee… =X Good find, can’t wait to put these on my Namco T2 and Namco T6

Eh? I’ve used the entirety of my straws. You just smooth off the edges. If you’re using a dremel tool like I am you should be able to get a semi-clean cut then sand down the edges using a sanding disc.
Or alternatively.
I used a cutting disc like this one:

And sanded the edges down using the actual surface of the disc. Be warned though, you’ll go through a good 3 discs per straw if you’re using a fast kit. And don’t let it wear too much. I did it on my first one and the disc snapped into a few bits and flew everywhere.

ok kool thnx for the info… the first time i tryed i used a pipe cutter… i guess thats why i couldnt use the whole straw… ill use a dremel this time…

Used the dremel and discs as well, 10minute job total for 2 shaft covers including the sanding. Word of caution use an oven glove to handle the straw if you’re not using padded vice grips =] Enjoy.

It kind of sucks that if you use a dustwasher that’s meant to go with the shaft cover, the washer widdles back and forth because the straw is too thin.

Can anyone confirm if the straw fits inside a TE shaft with a regular ( non-shaft ) dustwasher?

Nope…the hole in the regular non-shaft cover dust washer is too small. I had to dremel one out to get it to fit.

I didn’t use a glove at all, Straw didn’t heat up enough for me. Though I got to the end of the straw , so it got a little hotter then with less space for the heat to disperse.

Chronocide: I tried it a few weeks ago and nope, doesn’t fit. Non-shaft dustwashers fit EXACT to the shaft.
