His main job is to coordinate everyone, which he did and made use of their greatest tools, which is why he’s the First Avenger, the first one recruited for his abilities. He’s not a power house, but he can throw down with the rest of them.
And in case you forgot, he saved approx 200 people in Grand Central Station by himself, by kicking a table into the aliens and angling his shield for their lasers to hit each other. And it says a lot about him if, hopefully you noticed, the infantry started to converge on him, since he’s the ground leader who wasn’t just commanding the Avengers, but the police and military lol, shoutouts to Thor for helping him out… I don’t know how you missed his parkour while aliens are trying to shoot him down and all his punches, kicks, flips, dodging, deflecting alien attacks throughout the movie.
Lastly, him fighting Loki and NOT beating him by himself…

Alice in Wonderland?? That movie was mediocre at best and it felt like I was watching a made for TV movie… on the Disney Channel. I had no idea it pulled in that much. Crazy…
Good point. I forgot how many times I went to see Titanic with various girls who had seen it multiple times on their own when it first came out. There were a ton of children in the audience when I went and I am sure that many of them will get their parents to take them at least once more. Unfortunately, teenage girls are not part of this crowd. Avengers did more on opening weekend(200 million right?) than hunger games and any twilight film. Im not saying your wrong and I think you have a valid point, I just think we can cant count it out yet. I plan to see it again next weekend when the theaters arent as crowded with another group of people and I couldn’t even tell you the last time I did that. I think it’ll get play over the next bunch of weeks. Im obviously rooting for it.

Yeah, Hulk’s command grab on Loki was pretty godlike and all, but my favorite part of the entire movie is Iron Man doing his Level 3 on that fuckin’ huge ass ship.
