Sokka was great that episode. “here’s what you missed, I got a sword, Katara was the painted lady, and I think Combustion Man died” Then his reaction when play Sokka was using his lines was too good.
So many in jokes, Aang’s prolonged “NOOOOOO” when she died was lolz.
That was a nice wacky interlude to the super serious four parter that is about to end the series.
Suki is so awesome. Sokka’s making all these dumb-ass jokes, and yet there she is with his arm around her, perfectly contented.
Aang got shot down HARD. I wouldn’t say there’s no hope for him…but he might get shanghai’d by Zuko. Jet getting owned by a rock for laughs = hilarious. Toph thinking a muscleman playing her is awesome = hilarious.
at the entire play episode yesterday. Easily my favorite episode now despite not having the real Azula in it.
Ugh. It sucks that I’m going to have to miss the series/season finale due to work today. :shake:
Well, she certainly knows how to motivate and manipulate people without having to resort to threats (all the time).
It’s not her fault that people just aren’t as…ambitious as her, like that guy Chang (Chen? Bah, who cares?) who turned down her proposition to be THE STRONGEST COUPLE IN THE WORLD!!!
He’ll never come home and be a family man now.
It’s somewhat annoys me that the triangle is starting up again, though I felt it somewhat inevitable if Katara forgave Zuko since they’re closer in age.
Fixed.
“I’ll never bloodbend again!”
Have Aang and Mei even talked to each other? I don’t think they’ve even met outside of maybe Ba Sing Se and then she still was in disguise as far as I can remember.
Fixed.
Imo, Mei is the only thing that’s probably going to stop Zuko from getting with Katara. It would be doubly fucked up if she got imprisoned over him, after saving his life, just to get dumped AGAIN.
THEN Mei would be crazy.
Crazy angry.
I’m hoping you just meant some of the Zuko/Katara parts of the “Southern Raiders” episode because if you meant the “Ember Island Players”…
shakes fist
Wait, what?
I’m confused. Wouldn’t that make it more likely to you that Zuko and Katara end up together then?
This is just to clarify something, so I won’t bother using spoilers:
Sozin is the man who named the comet that’s coming (and started the war? I forget the flashback episode with Roku).
Ozai is the current King of the Fire Nation that Aang has to defeat later on today.
And to think that wasn’t even the funniest parts to me despite it being rather subtle compared to everything else.
This wasn’t really filler because it was canon, but I know what you mean.
Yeah, but oddly I felt it was appropriate since it helped them reflect on things and dug up things while also having a downer ending that WILL happen if they don’t win.
(I thought it was going to end when Azula killed him to be honest, but actual ending of the play was even darker.)
P.S. Am I the only one that really liked play Ozai’s actor’s look?
Haha. Metaphyiscal–is that the right word?–episodes in cartoons are usually great, especially if they’re in the from of a play.
I meant what I said. Roku’s nigga moment aint over yet. And that will play out through Aang and Ozai. They’ll go at it one more time within some spirit realm. You always have to kill a problem at its true source. Sozin started it and Aang will finish it. It has to go down like that cause the fight needs filler and this is where it will come from. And this is the same thing that will build the future around Aang and Zuko.
