Actually what I like about the dragon dance is that it pop culture references the need for the Aang and Zuko to work together and how their destinies are related. How it references the DBZ fusion dance instantly relates their relationship to Goku and Vegeta and therefore adds seasons of depth in a matter of moments.
They have a release date for the next set of dvds (May 6th, 2008), which includes the episodes that havenât been aired yet (311 - 315) so i assume the episodes should be before that. So thats 5 episodes which should be played over 5 weeks. so the episodes should start airing April 1st at the latest I think. Probably the friday before that. Which would be like 2 weeks. I hope this is all true.
Actually wasnât 311 day of black sun part2? so that would mean only 4 new episodes, so i guess push everything back a week if thats the case.
i wonder if the writerâs strike is actually to blame for this wait
i would hope that is the reason and it is not that they are debating on weather or not to continue, i know there is an avatar movie comming out, maybe they want to time it so the movie comes out before the series finishes.
Good to know things are expected to get moving soon according to Xythâs post. Too bad nobody mentioned that such a long break was planned before it happened. Bothered me a hell of a lot.
So the release date for the final dvd was announced for July 29th, 2008. So hopefully we should be seeing the rest of the season before that.
Still no news about when they are going to start showing episodes again. It seems like the date for the 3rd dvd might get pushed back or something. Theres a comic convention coming up that the avatar people are going to have a panel at. Hopefully theyâll announce the date then, they announced the date for the start of the third season during san diego comic-con, maybe theyâll do it again.
Havenât been keeping up with this series, but hereâs a press release for the live action movie from M.Night Shyamalan. It doesnât have âAvatarâ in the title because James Cameronâs new movie is called, âAvatarâ.
Recently I watched this old special effects/martial arts hong kong movie recently, Storm Riders, based off of the popular chinese comic book Wind and Cloud. It really made me see it as like a live-action Avatar, because the main hero could control water and even blood, like the water benders in Avatar. And the other main hero controlled wind.
