Anyone else thought it was Iroh when Zuko and Aang was stuck? I mean that foot did look like Iroh’s. I was all “Oh shit! The dragon has arrived!” Then it was some sun native.

Hahah thanks, got caught up on the series, though I had to go find working parts of chapter 13, it was all good. I understand Katara’s hurt and all, but her judgement hasn’t been the best either. :rolleyes:
I mean seriously, Aang’s just now fighting to win, thinking you’d be able to take down the Flaming Head Honcho without knowing a single thing about how his main method of attack works is ludicrous, even with as shakey a win button as the eclipse proved to be. I was glad to finally see blood bending show up in the series. We got a preview of it months ago in the avatar card game, with a waterbender(named Kinto) who used blood bending to manipulate enemies’ internal organs(though he has yet to shown up in the series, so the old lady is another blood bender).
EDIT: Rechecked my information, and Kinto’s considered non canon along with three other chars exclusive to the card game, so he’s sort of the prototype blood bender I guess.

also Zuko leveled up…Zuko is trying to learn Dragon Dance but cannot learn more than 4 moves…deletes Rage Zuko forgot rage and learned Dragon Dance!
And this should add more oomph to the Iroh being a beast breaking out of jail. Those rage filled scrubs ain’t have shit on Dragonman
even though both aang and zukko had that “revelation,” i wonder what it really does. so they realized the true source of firebending powers, correct? does this now allow them to be “uber powerful”? lightning bend? at least blue flame, right?
I doubt it. If the entire culture of rage and intolerance drives the firebending of the Fire Nation, then the defensive natures of the lightening reflect that Zuko and Iroh has is probably all they can get from the Sun Warriors. I’d wager that Iroh will probably teach Zuko a different form of “Upper tier” bending different from blue flame and lightening.
I think this ep will determine a lot of the outcome for the final story arc because now it’d be neat to see if Zuko will be fighting Azula as Fire Nation vs. Sun Warrior; each with their own top tier brand of fight skills.

Well ,I thought that chapter 13 was pretty good. I liked how there were different colors of fire and how it represented more than just destruction, but birth/life as well. Judging by that, I say that Zuko will probably learn the majority or all of the various shades of the fire as they might have different properties for the user (and have certain requirements). Well, Aang is now a firebender (let’s see what else he learns).
Watching the first season…just got second…good show. So how many season there planning with this?
