Glad to see the Owl spirit, but it is disappointing to see he is still a bit of a dumbass with who he trusts. But that Fox is still top tier.
Racing toward the season finale, fake ass Scar seems to have stepped himself up in terms of actually getting shit done, the spirit world air must do him good.
Spoiler
Eh, too Fluttercup and Chinese dog spirits? Fools rolled over in seconds, apparently most spirits are push overs.
Korra’s stupidity is just beyond words. When a little kid has the bravery to sacrifice herself for the good of the world, maybe that should hint to Korra that unleashing the embodiment of evil to the physical world nonnegotiable.
It was nice to see Iroh again though.
Those spirits remind me of bipolar girlfriends; when they’re good it’s great, when they’re unstable get the **** out of the way.
You do honestly expect for Korra to sacrifice the life of a pre-teen girl? She isn’t cold hearted like Unalaq. I’m sure that Tenzin and the rest of his family will be furious if Korra let that happen.
Even after Jinora was willing for it to happen in order to get the first portal closed, you know what she and Korra came into the spirit world to do in the first place?
Now Jinora is stuck in the spirit world possibly doomed and BOTH portals are open. You can’t justify this. For an Avatar that supposively knows what’s at stake and has full knowledge of the first Avatar, I expected better.
Aang was younger than her in TLA yet he knew that he had to set his emotions aside to control the Avatar state or else Ozai and the Fire Nation were gonna kick his ass.
I’m not saying Aang’s decision would be any less logical. The issue is that Korra experienced the entire situation with Avatar Wan and pretty much knows that millions more will perish if Vaatu is unleashed- including Jinora. If it wasn’t for plot destiny shenanigans all would’ve been lost already.
If Jinora was yelling to be saved or getting eviscerated slowly, I would understand Korra making a reactionary deal with the spiritual embodiment of evil and his consort, but it seemed like Jinora knew what was at stake more than the Avatar.
If I was implying that Aang would kill anyone then I would have flat out said so. His situation with Ozai was more complex. He found another way to victory without murder.
Korra’s situation was black and white. She had two choices and picked the wrong one. She wasn’t the one killing anyone with either choice anyway. -_-
I can guarantee you not a single avatar would have sacrificed jinora, so y’all would be saying every single one of them made the wrong choice. Regardless if jinora was brave to try to sacrifice herself it wasn’t her place nor destiny to do such.
It’s naive to think that the situation is REALLY that black and white and that the legend of the avatar is all of a sudden moot because a little girl instead decides to say “I’ll take this one”. The avatar EXIST EXACTLY for these situations. What you suggest epitomizes “easy way out” for the avatar.
There is another way, the same as it was for Aang.
There WASN’T (then, now it’s up in the air) another possible outcome to that situation.
So the Avatar exist only to put the world in danger only to turn around and save it? Bullshit. Is there a problem with the easy way out? Is there a problem with a character working smarter instead of harder?
